My hair waves up nice with just a little moisturizer and regular brushing for a few weeks.

I really might cop a hair transplant to get my line back. I miss them shyts.

I used to have waves heavy but I don’t care anymore. Still gets a little wavy but not like it used to. With that said, the best advice I ever received was to brush in the shower. I used to get a bar of soap and brush my hair (brush with bar, then with brush). I don’t know if I ever used shampoo at the time but that bar of soap+brushing +durag +letting my hair get thick+Murray’s (mad +,lol) had my shyt spinning, sides and top. I didn’t use much grease but that was it. Before that, I couldn’t get them at all.

My hairline is also in decent shap

I can’t believe y’all brehs be putting weeks of hard labor into getting waves. :mindblown:

It literally takes a me an hour. Shampoo, Conditioner, pink lotion or olive oil, brush for about 30 secs, durag, set. If I want deep waves, a day. And I only need to brush once more, like a few hours later, again for about 30 secs, and then setting it back in the durag for the rest of the day.

Granted, my natural hair is like this..

But I had no idea brehs was putting that amount of time and effort to getting them shyts. It ain’t that serious. I naturally wear my hair curly not wavy and only wave up if I go out on the weekends. Sometimes. But I like to switch things up and will be over waves within a week.

Brush when your hair is dark

Your hair is probably too low

Very important make sure your barber is cutting your hair against the grain (going forward) and not backwards you won’t have success that way. Cut to a 2.

If you post your hair we could more easily help you breh

What kind of brush do you use?

The key to me was always a good wolfing session. :manny:

Get a fresh cut, grow it out for about a month and a half while constantly brushing and wrapping with the du-rag. :yeshrug:
Whenever I got in a good 1 month+ wolf my waves would always comes out deeper and more defined. shyt was like a cheat code. :pachaha:
