Am I the only one feeling like OKC Thunder front office is overrated?

Sam Presti approaching Danny Ainge territory to me

“Oh my god look at all those picks they got!!!”

nikkas got 40 draft picks but have shown they couldn’t build and keep a contender when they had back to back to back lottery picks previously. Three mvp candidates and they failed at keeping them before. Same with Boston who i believe window is over.

Most of your problems with OKC lie with ownership, not Presti.

The one bad move Presti made was not trading Russ instead of Harden. Would have been a tough pill to swallow at the time but was the right move long term.

As it is, they are doing the right thing and Presti and his scouts clearly have eye for talent. OKC isn't exactly a FA hotbed.

Most teams that stockpile all these picks in the NBA dont end up doing shyt with em

Aingecollected all those picks, just to burn em all this year on middling dudes

It's one thing to get an arsenal of picks, it's another to properly utilize them

Time will tell...:sas1:
What was he supposed to do with those picks? Trade the 14, a mid twenties pick and late twenies pick to move up to what? Like 10? If that? The picks every single person thought or hoped he would trade turned into tatum and brown :manny: boston fans wanted paul george or jimmy butler but he kept em and drafted those two kids.

Harden had to be let go because they could not agree on a contract and ownership wasn’t willing to pay what he wanted. It’s no guarantee with perennial chokers, one being a mental midget and the other low I.Q. that they would ever win a championship anyway.

Harden is only an MVP because you saw him blossom into one leaving OKC. Russell is an MVP because you saw him become a one man system and stat padded his way to nightly triple doubles. In the grand scheme it doesn’t mean automatic championship.

After their Finals loss they had some bad luck with injuries and seemed to be missing a piece and/or Durant/Westbrook flat out underperformed or choked.

No, Presti is not overrated. He has kept OKC as a perennial playoff team in a small market for a decade with cheap ownership without tanking once he has accumulated nearly 20 picks in the next decade that pretty much ensures OKC won’t suck for a good minute.

OKC can’t suck, fans stop supporting and it’s clipped for that market.

You hating breh, they'll be in the mix for the next star to ask for a trade because of all the assets they've accumulated.
And it’ll end up exactly how it did with Paul George
Or chris Paul
They are on a treadmill just like Orlando low key
