Am I the only one on earth who doesn't stream music?

I prefer CDs and downloading to streaming.

When I own it, I can listen to it whenever without worry about wifi. And I can listen to it without interference.

Streaming is only good for whenever i want to hear an album first, but whenever I like the album, I end up wanting to own it.

These days I use free Pandora and Amazon Music that comes included with Prime.

I mostly listen to podcasts at work anyway.

Mostly talking about the people under 40

I literally don't understand how it got so popular. Its literally an ass backward way of listening/owning music
I'm a music head, and I'm actually into owning my music, having a collection that you'll have forever. Streaming just seems like borrowing the music temporarily as long as you have wifi

Even newer albums that came out in the past 5 years. I usually just buy the CD or download it digitally from Amazon

Streaming has such a disposable feeling to me :hubie:, no wonder most of the music coming out right now is disposable music
You don’t need to be on WiFi to stream music

You can own your music.... and stream it too. :francis:

I used to be on this same bullshyt. But the math works out better in reverse. Paying $15 a month is way cheaper than buying new music every month. And you can still buy and own music if you really want to. Streaming has actually helped me find more music to buy and own.

I’m not writing streaming off... and like you said both options have their positives and negatives...

I don’t stream but I sample music for free via YouTube and FLAC downloads... if I like something I buy the vinyl or CD... simple as that. I’m a music consumer who prefers to own a physical copy.
For me the value isn't so much in streaming itself as much as the music finding algorithms. I found so much new good music through Spotify radio. With Youtube you have to know what you're looking for to find it which doesn't help if you're trying to find new music :francis:

I do both. Streaming is convenient and does not cost me much. When it is a song or album I'm really feeling I'll be the track or album to support the artist and put the song in my archives.

I find just as much new music through blogs as I did when I was using streaming apps

and yeah, I'll admit that I DO miss opening a new CD, that.... fear that you're gonna break the damn thing trying to get it out the case and reading the notes and production credits.

This. Some of them are creative booklet . Outkast's Atliens have dope booklet on some comic book shyt.

“The Dude” is a classic and one of Quincy’s Masterpieces... that album is one of the best sounding albums I’ve ever heard... Q was at the top of his game during that era... I own the CD... don’t sleep... buy it.
Worth every penny.

When I think "producer" Quincy Jones is the 1st name that pops into my head
