Am I the only one sad about the death of brick and mortar big box stores?

I mean why couldn't there have been a way to merge brick and mortar with online prices? When I want to buy something I don't like having to wait for it. it also kills jobs as well.

I get why it went down the way it did and I can't even blame consumers. I just think it sad that major companies like a Circuit City didn't see this coming years in advance and did something to compete. I saw this shyt coming back in 2001 when Ebay was bubbling. Nobody got it. Technological evolution is a cold bytch and doesn't care who she shyts on. If you don't keep your guard up she will come for your soul

Even less opportunities to meet women The price difference isn't that off when you consider shipping. But places like amazon.com have squeezed couriers fulfillment centers with low wages and shytty contracts to the point where shipping is cheap. Nowadays as long as people can save a buck they give no fukks about the long term ramifications. The only time I buy something online to save money is if I can get it used or if its something that's not available at the store.

I'm probably gonna start fukking with the Best Buy Game preorder shyt now instead of Amazon since Amazon delivers late in the afternoon at home. I can just pop over to the Best Buy down the street when they open and get my shyt.

I like browsing best buy in person. I would never buy a TV online without seeing it in person first. Now that they price match amazon i give them most of my business cause id rather drive 5 mins to pick up my shyt than wait a week.

I don't have patience if I want something I want it ASAP. But eBay/Amazon be having them deals. Buy it in store AND order from amazon, then when it arrives from amazon I return that one at the store. Saved money and got it asap

Nah, I prefer supporting my local mom and pop gaming shops. There's this great one I live by that sells every console you can think of, and pretty much every game you could possibly want. The owner is also real nice and gave me discounts on every single game I bought the first time I shopped at his store. He even offered to test them out to make sure they were working properly. The new games he gets in get automatic price drops on them through the discounts as well. Turns out that moving to LA as a serious gamer was one of the best decisions I could possibly make in life.

i find myself ordering too much shyt online but thats a lot of these stores faults too because u go to macys lord & taylor etc and u see bare minimum selections when their site have "online exclusives" and free shipping so they want u to take the alternative that saves them the most $$$. went into a best buy last week late afternoon and there was 2 cashiers to a line of 30 and theres that customer thats starts a Q&A session with the chick making the wait longer.
