Am I the only one that has no plans to every read an entire book again?

I only read for knowledge. I watch movies for entertainment.

Although a lot of books are better stories than movies with a lot more detail but I haven't read a novel/fiction in a long time. Last book I read that had nothing to do with knowledge/religion was "Iceberg Slim - Pimp" back in 07 or 08.

I also do a lot of reading online so I dunno :manny:

I used to hate "reading". But that was because we were reading that trash that state said we had to read as part of our compulsory schooling, like "Catcher in the Rye" and worse books that were forgettable.

Then I discovered things that were actually interesting and relevant to my interests. :manny:

You'd read a Drake biography. :lolbron:

I think reading is great, it's exercise for the mind, helps to put you i that place more so than a movie can do. I don't read a lot, but it's a great hobby to have.

no one said we was uneducated

we just dont like to read in our past time

reading almost feels like punishment

i never fukkin read in college

i used sparknotes like a fukkin boss

i went to UConn and i havent read in my freetime since the 6th grade

No one said you were.

And do you really feel like that? If so then why do you post on The Coli or use the Internet. You read what you like to read, you've got some interests, pick up a book that relates to those interests and I'm sure you'll love it.

I wouldn't say I wouldn't ever read a book again (last book I read was The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins 2 years ago) however, its not something I do often. I read the news daily and I have a subscription to Popular Science :manny:

People who, "read to escape" are almost as bad as those who don't read at all. Maybe even worse as they feel that simply reading words on a page makes you more intelligent.

While I disagree, I appreciate the honest OP. :salute:

To each his/her own. I personally love reading... it's my escape from the bs in life but often times I just enjoy readinga good book.

I personally think reading is very important since it helps build up ones vocab ect. But I can understand why your not interested.

no biggie.

Does it help with grammar? :troll:
