Am I the only one that hates almost every song cover they hear?

99% of youtube covers are garbage

the woat is when some cac does a shytty acoustic guitar version of some well-written rap song and all the other cacs with shytty taste say it's better than the original

playing your 4-chord melody you learned from a youtube video and singing badly while making dramatic facial expressions is not impressive

I blame Incubus. They covered "No Scrubs" on a live album and it was cute but gave motherfukkers ideas...

I'm tempted to do a few covers myself. But I'm skurred

Funny thing is, a lot of songs that we consider the original these days are covers. Record companies have always had writers pass songs along to different artists.

yes, i dislike a lot of covers.

but like someone else said, usually it's songs that i really like and then discover that they are actually covers.

-Santana's black magic woman is a cover (better than the original)
-Hendrix's All Along the Watctower (probably one of his biggest hits and it's also better than the original)
-Isley Brother's Summer breeze (depends on my mood but i slightly prefer the original. Isleys still did a great job on this one)
-Isaac hayes - The look of Love is just epic
-Isaac hayes Walk on By
- The Turtles - You Showed Me is kind of a cover from what i heard.
