Am I the Only One Totally Disgusted by Bosh's Gradual Evolution Into John Paxson?

Yeah, I know how to do math too. Yes, a 3 is worth more than a 2. Bosh is 7-24 from 3 in this series. He's shooting 4 3s a game and not hitting them at a good clip. He's not keeping the defense honest enough right now for his 3 to be as effective. The Heat won two titles with him shooting .9 and 1.6 3s a game, so they've shown his increasing those attempts to 4 a game isn't the key to them winning. He's coming off a game in which he shot 7 3s, which is comical.

Here's some more "moreyball" for you: the Rockets haven't been out of the first round in 5 years. The "moreyball" mascot has shot well under 40% from the field and barely 30% from 3 the past two playoffs. Stubbornly continuing to hoist 3s because they're worth more than 2s isn't a revolutionary strategy. Playoff basketball is about adjustments and matchups.

*fully expects Bosh to go 4-5 from 3 tonight on some SOHH/Coli jinx shyt*
You're criticizing Bosh over a five game sample size against the best defense in the league.

There are 82 games + the first two playoff series vs. Charlotte & Brooklyn that say Bosh shooting an open three is a more efficient shot than Bosh shooting an open mid ranger.

The "advanced stats" arguments have become as cliche as the anti-stats arguments. A talking pont in the hand of a common fan is a talking point. Yeah, sample size. Yeah, 3>2. Great. Wash, rinse, repeat.

Now back to the point. Bosh has upped his 3 point attempts, abandoned the post, and his mid range is suffering too. And the Heat didn't do better in the regular season because of it. You might notice when he cut his 3 attempts to 2 from 7, the Heat coasted to a blowout victory. The dude went from .9 and 1.6 attempts in the playoffs to 4. And if that trend continues against a legit contender - which the Pacers ain't - we'll probably see the Heat fall to 2-2 in the finals during their "dynasty."

Bosh shooting 67% from three in the Finals.

Makes a clutch corner three to take the lead with a little over a minute left.

:sas2:

The Heat were up by damn near 40 points that game:mjlol: For many reasons other than Bosh not shooting 3's.
