Am I the only one who didn’t respect Marlo Stanfield from the wire?

There was so many layers to the show and no one was right or wrong. I was watching scenes last night on YouTube and Avon and String both made sense. Obviously Avon was like 60% right and more so in the short term, String was like 35% to 40% right and more so in the long term. Stringer wanted to do what Franklin wanted to do in Snowfall. Why worry about corner bullshyt when you can move weight wholesale to these nikkas and let them fight to sell on the corner. Less risk. More money. Can scale past Baltimore. And eventually move out the game entirely. Avon was right in that Marlo was going to keep coming for them until he killed them. You can’t negotiate with a psycho. Like Mad Dog in the movie Mobsters. And you look weak even trying in the first place. And Stringer’s trying to run everything like a business such as trying to move weight would only work if they kept a strong presence on the street. Which Avon knew. The moment they looked weak, one of the other dealers like Marlo would try to go to war with them. Basically Marlo had to die first THEN maybe some of Stringer’s ideas would’ve started to make sense.

still dont care to watch this shyt,. i got to like 2 seasons maybe couple episodes of 3 ... the one with the greek. then stopped took too long and should have been a movie. instead of boring ass tv shows for people who got way too many extra hours. how can you follow these tv shows its a con they flip the same story for over 100 hours of viewing.

watch comedies on TV a quick 30 minutes thats doable and fun, boring ass tv dramas not quite good enough to be movies and you will invest mad labour hours into it. nah

I’m confused when people say this. I understand how people can like the acting. But wtf was there to like about that character? The nikka was a fukkin swaggerless, evil robot with zero charisma. I just don’t get it. Lol

If you feel that way, you owe to yourself to at least watch season 3.

Season 3 picks up, right away, and it’s known as being the best the season. You should be able to pick up most of the loose ends from season 2

he wasn’t killing people out in the open at all. He was getting people killed for months to years without anybody knowing and took over

he had to kill prop joe. He wanted to be the leader of the streets, he would never get the connect with joe being around and the Greeks gave him the ok to do it when he went to the meeting with them. And he couldn’t let joe live cause joe was smart and woulda been a pain in the house down the line

In reality the Greeks wouldn’t have even fukked with Marlo honestly. They barely even fukkin knew him and I’m pretty sure they heard how much he backstabbed muthafukkas.

If his name was his name it would’ve stayed that way after he lost everything. Same as how Omar’s did.

Marlo had no plans to kill anyone until he just felt like he wanted to. nikka would get paranoid on his own and kill nikkas. nikka was a fukkin psychopath. He wasn’t a gangster. nikka would just find ANY reason to kill a nikka because honestly he got his fix from that shyt.
