This.
Its best to start young too. At like 18. Use ya CC to buy lil shyt like Mickey D's, and always pay it on time.
:wtf: @ Buying food/fast food on credit. At least spend it on something you can make money off of.

I have eight. Definitely helps your credit.
Having 8 credit cards is wayyyyy too much. No one needs 8 lines of credit. That actually hurts your credit :snoop:

I got one at 18, Stunted hard with that ho, spent 3 years paying it back. I haven't had a credit card since. I'm like you, if I don't have the money for it. I'm not gonna buy it..

My wife has one and it actually has come in handy in some situtations we may not have had the moment for something at that time. So I wouldn't knock having one for emergencies

I know it "helps" your credit but we just bought a house last year and my Jeep is paid off so what do i really need "good" credit for? :heh:

How does having eight accounts in good standing with low balances hurt your credit?

credit cards are the best, free airline tickets, hotel upgrades, gift cards, etc. shyt amex even givien credits for tweeting with certain hastags w/some retailers. never use a debit card. always pay in full and you wont have to worry about interest charges.

If ur out charging food/drinks, etc on ur debit card in 2012, ur crazy as hell.

If someone gets ahold of ur identity, they'll drain ur account faster than ur head can spin. And until/if you get ur money back, ur gonna be in a bad way.

At least if you keep a credit card you can deny charges should that happen. I hvent bought anything on my debit card in like 7 years. I dont even use it for ATM purposes.

Only time my debit card leaves my wallet is to make deposits at the bank

Done it from 20/25, ended up paying 18,000 in one go to pay it, kinds regret it looking back, but I was dumb, even booked holidays on it without thinking of the consequences

Redundancy cleared it for me, dunno how I woulda payed it otherwise.

Probably cost me a house looking back, bit I got no regrets.

Because that's all potential debt/payments. Doesn't matter if the balances are low, it's still potential debt youve already been signed up for. Potential creditors/financiers will give you the ehhh because you could very max out those cards at any given time.

Plus you only need 2 credit cards. Anything more and it looks like you can't manage your money/are in over your head.

don't work like that....

banks look at ur credit to debt ratio. Having more available credit actually helps.

Never you mind....
The only card I use is my debit card and if I'm not using that it's cash for me. I don't really have any use for a credit card right now.

I don't/didn't, but I had non existent credit which makes it difficult to purchase a home.
