Am I wrong for thinking Eric dikkerson is the GOAT running back?

I had the same reaction but damn after looking at Tikis numbers I didn’t know he had such high quality years

You're definitely not alone in that as most people probably don't realize how great some of his seasons were statistically, and that he retired "early".

Similar to Fred Taylor.

Yeah I legit had no idea he produced like that tbh. He had a pretty elite stretch there (that’s only going off numbers and not tape obviously)

what’s crazy, I just read the Giants offered him 50 mil for 2(!) years to keep playing and he still walked. That’s crazy money.

I was coming in here to bring that up. No one knows that Tiki finished his career with 1300, 1200, 1500, 1800, and 1600 yard seasons back to back. It's just not blasphemous to say he had a stretch in his career where he was producing on a level comperable to any all-time great. And he was still a receiving threat, too. Over 500 yards out of the backfield those years, too. And he fixed his fumbling issue the last three years.

Not saying he's the GOAT or anything but Tiki is absolutely slept on.

You're a wild one sometimes.:russ:.

Giants fan here, nah.
Tiki had a good career, but nah.

Explain whats crazy about this?

What really hurts Tiki is that early in his career he wasn't the feature back more than his short career. His peak level production is All-Time great, dont even try to say there's a measurable difference between he and dikkerson at peak, keeping in mind they played in different eras and Tiki was an outstanding receiver, had greater top line speed, and also moonlighted as a punt returner earlier on...

For the record, I've stated many times I think Faulk is the GOAT. After that, you have a whole bunch of guys that are relatively close together. dikkerson was great but I find it hard to distinguish him as THE greatest, he's in that pack with a bunch of other guys.......and Tiki is in that pack, too...

So is Ricky Williams, these guys at peak were as dominant as damn near anybody and slow starts and/or short primes hurts them. Davis gets a whole lot of shine because he played in Denver and with Elway, there are several guys, Ricky and Tiki being two of them, who coulda produced the same way but played on bum squads so their short primes are overlooked in comparison...

Tiki is criminally underrated when people talk about GOAT running backs...

Bruh go watch video of Tiki at any point in his last 5-6 years. Dude was an animal...

I feel fortunate I got to watch him play. At that point we were watching the decline of Faulk, and by memory Priest Holmes was most people's pick for best back 2002-06, but Tiki was right there. At that time you also had Ricky's brief run, he was in the conversation, overrated ass Shaun Alexander was in the conversation, and then a group of guys a tier below like Stephen Jackson...

Go watch some of his highlights, Tiki was the real deal and is absolutely underrated...

Damn so did Lynch if we being 100
Christian okoye, priest holmes lots of backs
Don't put them in goat convo

No bro. Okoye had two 1000 yard seasons and was never anything close to GOAT level lol...

I'm a HUGE Lynch fan, but his peak was not GOAT-level...

Priest is the only guy you mentioned, who you could say that about, but Tiki was better for longer and has a stronger claim as a GOAT-tier running back...

There isn't a "lot" of backs you can say that about, from that era the only guys, besides obviously Faulk, who you could even suggest it about, would be Ricky, Tiki, and Priest. Nobody else, there's only a handful of guys in any era you can say that about and honestly, post 2008 or so, the only back we can say that about is Peterson (though the level of play Henry has put on the last 1.5 seasons is approaching that level if he sustains it a couple more seasons)...

Did dudes just not see Tiki play? Its kinda surprising cats acting so uninformed on Tiki's work. Who was better in his era?

nikka was fed up with Tom

tiki was a sneaky good back like Corey Dillion, but honestly it’s all relative as to who you think is the goat, you know who has a seat at that table, and who has a seat at the next table over
