@murksiderock Did you just say Tiki Barber had better top line speed than Eric Dikkerson??? Lmao!!!!!!

Well I'll admit I dont know this as a fact, because I didn't see ED play. Top line being defined as your speed in the open field once you get thru the first two levels of defense....Tiki was outracing cats on the back end...

Here's a better question, what did Eric dikkerson do better than Tiki? Dudes are really here shytting on a dude that clearly put up All-Time performances at his peak...

The only thing people really remember about Tiki is that as soon as he retired the Giants won.

Tiki shoulda got a ring too. And I ficking hate the Giants but I remember wishing Tiki coulda got that ring...

What's not goat about lynch in 2011-2014? If he did that over his career or wasn't wasted in buffalo he may have a case for goat tier

Lynch was never the best running back in football, which is kind of a requirement to even be mentioned in GOAT talk. He also didn't have elite burst, or pass catching ability...

What he did well, he was absolutely elite at. He was tough inside or outside the tackles, stronghanded, yard after contact guy. But he didn't put up a sustained period of GOAT-level work...

I'm a Lynch fan, bro. He in that next tier below...

Lynch was better than tiki and just cuz he played same time as ad you ain't gonna eliminate him

Seattle did use him in the pass game as well.

@murksiderock not only was ED the rare combination of speed and power, he was a workhorse also. He had amazing burst, great agility(in the open field and tight quarters), breathtaking apeed and formidable power. The man had the durability.of a Walter Payton combined with the homerun ability of Barry Sanders or Tony Dorsett. Look at his accoladea, the records(rookie rush yards and single season rushing yards). They have and likely will stand the test of time.

Eric is in the convo but more like top 10

Barry was fun as hell to watch but is in no way the GOAT

For all the great highlight reel shyt we know, he got stuffed in the backfield a bunch too

Payton
AP
Jim Brown

Edge deserves mention when talking about backs in that early to mid 2000 range. He had 6 or 7 1000 yard plus seasons and finished higher on the all time rushing list than Tiki Sean Fred Priest etc. despite only playing 11 years. With cats like him Tiki Fred Shaun Alexander Warrick Dunn Corey Dillon excelling in the 90's 2000's era that none of them are worthy of a Hall of Fame call. The voters gotta do something to break that logjam up. Seems like now you gotta break into the top 10 to get in and that's not fair at all to some of these cats who definitely should be in the Hall.

I disagree, if anything that adds to Barry's resume! The dude still ended his career averaging 5 ypc :wow:

His dominance was outright scary.

The G.O.A.Ts are:
  • Jim Brown
  • Walter Payton
  • Barry Sanders
ED doesn't belong amongst those three.

Faulk belongs in the Top 3 imo. I don’t know who you take out lol, but he was clearly the best player on an all-time legendary offense.
