Any advice for someone to ease into playing at a casino?
I only play poker in RDR2 but I know the game pretty much from that, is it as simple as taking $200-300 with the expectation to lose it while you get comfortable at the table
I wish some casino had like learner tables for all the gestures and calls the dealers do without explaining shyt
What's your favorite ICP song??
How good have you found your competition to be? Marks...middle of the road players.....absolute sharks? What was the spectrum like?
What is your philosophy of when to know your limits? How do you handle emotional tilt? If you even have it at all
I've realized there are a lot of average players in poker, especially 2 cards. Even people that have been playing 20+ years, still average. They win sometimes, bad players even have good nights. Great players win often, the pass year, ive won about 75/80 percent of the games I've played. But I've learn to leave a dangerous table or move to a better sit at the table. The key is to play in games where you are one of the best players.
Personally in low stake 1-3 Texas Holdem, I feel like I'm usually the best player at the table. And I almost never lose. Sometimes I only win 1 or 200$ but it's a win. I'm very shifty, I adjust to the flow of the table well. I bluff well, I know how to catch bluff. At the same time, I avoid danger well. If they're a player I don't know and he has a lot of money, I watch him and I'm very cautious of him. I think the most i've lost in 2 cards in the pass year, was 400$. That's nothing and that rare. 9 times out of 10 I go up at least 200$, I decided to stop shooting for 500$ and leave with the 200/300. They've been adding up.
5 Card PLO at MGM and Maryland Live is elite. 5 card is easier to be ready good, bcuz there's not a lot of bluffs. Usually the person with the nuts (best possible hand wins) unless you have quads. So either u have the nutz or you're chasing the nutz.
As far as emotional tilt, I learn from them. If you can, just bring the exact amount you're cool with losing. Bad beats happen. I had my AAs cracked Wednesday by Ace/5 and 10/10. Flop came 10 / 5/ 5. Pocket Ace dead on the flop to 2 players. smh, I didn't get too mad. it happens. Sometimes you can't get a good hand for hours or even the whole night. If that's the case, if you only lose a few hundred dollars and didn't get a good hand all night, you're kind of lucky. Depending on your level. Losing HUGE in PLO, make losing a few 100 in Holdem feel like a paper cut.
What's your aggression/range as the button in cash and tournament?
I've only played one sanctioned tournament, in 100s of hood tournament. If I'm the chip leader, I know when to apply pressure to the others with less money. I'm never a consistent aggressive player. Might get a little tilted and pump up a few pots, but after a few hands, I chill. I'm never aggressive in PLO
I read this as I just got my head cracked on mgmpoker. AK then a K comes on the flop a nikka call with a 9 of spades in his hand(9came in the flop) runner runner runner spades smh
It happens, AK wins a lot of times, 2/3s I think. But will lose with AAs also, but in the Long run AAs will win 9 out of 10 times.
Curious question. 25k is a nice profit, But how much did you invest to get there?
I know some people who gamble alot, spend 100s of thousands came out ahead by like 10 or 20k. like spending 200k and making 225k to profit 25.
Feel like if they invest 200k in other ways they could make way more than 25.
not hating though 25k profit is still a nice chunk of change regardless.
Invest?? This doesn't sound like poker at all. You don't invest, you gamble. You sit down with money, you win more or lose. or break even. You gamble 100k and leave with 25k, you're a big lose.
I call it gambled. This is how I keep count. If I seat down with 400$, lose it, buy in another 400$, now I'm in for 800$. I have to cash out 800$ just to break even.
If I sit down with 400, cash out 1000. I profited 600.
Have you mastered card counting?
I think you're talking about BlackJack. Unless you talking about know how many outs I have, yes I do know that well. And I understand the percentage of the chance I have to win.
