It has some pretty good specs on it for $100

I am glad Amazon went this route instead of coming out with some garbage like the OUYA and force that bundled controller for $100

The specs are much better, UI wont be as sluggish, already has major partners and of course amazon money behind it.

The Ouya is a joke...always will be a joke. Now...if they can hack this thing and install vanilla android on it...the possibilities :legoyes:

Review from Amazon...if I didn't already have PS3, ipad, Chromecast I'd cop quick.

Pros:
Android Based (which means many apps coming and the potential to root and gain more features
Ability to use Apps (Not just having to rely on what's preloaded like to many older TV boxes and Bluray players)
Accurate voice search - This one surprised me, It actually worked, Way better than Xbox Voice Commands or Siri, and Better than S Voice...
Bluetooth remote (for some this is a con, but I don't want another Wifi device jamming my crowded signal Read on to see why I think this)
It's not flashy
Quick to load

Cons:
Need to purchase separate gaming remote
No Headphone jack in remote
Light on apps to start with
No AC wireless band it has 5Ghz N but not AC

Ouya is great for emulators and hd xbmc

Please educate me oh wise one on how different this thing is to an OUYA or the plethora of other Android based set top boxes out there.

Good timing. I know a lot of us already have boxes but coli heads stay ahead of the game. So it's not too late. In fact, they have the advantage of actually being newer at this moment in time.

I like Amazon because they offer good customer service. I won't be copping myself but anybody interested in such things I'll be sure to express this as an option.
