The year 3030
Alright here's my impressions of it.

The box is pretty small, didn't expect it to be as small as it is. Easy plug and play set up.

There's an unskippable "tutorial" video first time you power on the device, but eh it's not too long so didn't mind it that much

Overall interface is pretty similar to the Amazon App Store they have for android. So it's easy to navigate through. The voice command only works for Amazon Video so far, which was sort of disappointing. However, it's pretty accurate. It understood 95% of the shyt I was asking. Apps available aren't too bad, tunein, pandora, hulu, Netflix, etc. Streaming quality of it all has been top notch so far. Haven't experienced any buffering or hiccups yet.

Haven't gotten my controller yet so I didn't really fukk around with the games. But lotta the game they recommended I already had for my Nexus, so I would imagine they're the same just with a real controller.

What's really disappointing though, is they haven't tied it to the Amazon App Store for Android, as far as I can tell, so no free app of the day shyt, and it doesn't recognize apps you've gotten for free/already bought with the app either which sucks.

I haven't really fukked with other streaming boxes like Google/Apple TV, Roku etc. prior to this, so I couldn't make a comparison.

Overall, for what it is, I like it. However, I'd only really recommend it if you already subscribe to more than one streaming service and Amazon Prime. If you're prime less, and only subscribe to shyt like Hulu/Netflix the value isn't really there per se.

i wouldn't game on it so it would be a little bit pricey just for a streaming device. i'm sure it's good quality since amazon is behind it tho.

Other than gaming, what separates this box from the pack?

Link me to the XDA thread breh. The people on the official XBMC forum are reporting problems with full 1080p playback. Might have to go ahead and cop this now.

I am hearing good things Amazon Fire TV and XMBC can be installed on it. Hopefully it isn't mission impossible to get the ish done. I would love to be watching XMBC on my TV instead of my computer. Hopefully it's not a mission impossible type of mission to get it done. It took me numerous installs to figure out XBMC on the pc for years.
Look like we about to eat on this one damn :eat:
