How you gonna compete with a mom and pop business in this highly corporate retail climate where these businesses literally have billions of dollars behind them?
I'm on a bus headed back to NYC right now....there are so many multimillion dollar condos popping up...yet TONS. and I mean....TONS of empty storefronts...closed businesses...that couldn't afford to stay in business with these rising rents and cost of living.
this isn' the 90s or the 00s anymore....those pipedream of becoming a million off of an innovative idea utilizing the tech market and retail service industry are OVER.
And the amount of poor black and Brown people that will be pushed out when those rent prices and the cost of living increase because of it...and the amount of new homeless people that will be created when it does touch down.This.
