the only difference in that idea is a sport is a monolith. The NBA doesn't own the merchandisers or the stores that sell the merchandise, etc.

Amazon is branching out too much. They are effectively controlling every single output regardless if it has anything to do with the main company. This becomes a problem for the entire economy.

This will tank film revenue in hollywood and raise subscription rates at amazon, all while tanking the revenue of the movie theatres BUT not caring because Bezos is known to sell at a loss just to destroy competitors.

"why should i watch movies at XYZ when I can get two tickets for 8 bucks at AMZ."
