Nobody does. It would be extra crazy if he tries to buy Disney now, when they are bleeding.
Nah, Disney went into cash mode a long time ago and is sitting on like $5bil in reserves without seeking off or buying back a single stock share yet. They can ride out at least a full year. They also have several movies First run they can drop on + to drum money if they needed it.

Fast food and grocery stores are automated, now movie theaters. There won’t be anywhere left for teenagers and less intelligent Or disadvantaged people to get a job anywhere :wow:

I came into the workforce and should be able to leave JUST in time :wow::wow::wow:

Future gonna have Universal Basic Income. That would be the only thing saving capitalism.

What you talking about he's gonna be using those same teenagers to run those movie theaters...:mjlol: I mean shyt doesnt run itself.
Yeah, it does. Like someone else said, roombas to clean the theaters, they already have automated ticketing machines and food dispensers, where do you need humans if you take away those two main contact points? Bezos has money to put in robot cooks that were invented about 5 or 6 years ago so food prep can be automated as well.......

They are sitting on 3 money makers right now in Mulan, Black Widow, and Soul. If they release any of those on + that’s them hitting the panic button though for sure.

Ok, and the skeleton crew consists of what? 4 amazon warehouse workers? Theaters usually employ about 100 people on a rotational basis X 10,000 global locations so you do the math on job losses there.
It makes perfect sense to buy a theater chain, if there’s any biz in the world that can turn around a movie chain and make it profitable it’s Amazon. A simple restructuring of making it weekends only and after usual work 5pm onward showtimes will cut down on operating revenue instantly. Nobody goes to see a movie at 11am on a Tuesday but 3 soccer moms and their bad ass kids which isn’t making that screen any money.

Like I said if he buys it now, how's it gonna make money with the virus out there...:jbhmm: I have faith that he's gonna employ the right people to make it work... but the real reason is he's gonna try to outdo netflix with the amazon original films and award shows... you remember that certain awards shows wasn't gonna give netflix films any awards without them being in movie theaters...Same idea his idea is to get his movie projects into consideration by doing this as well... It's not a bad plan but the virus man...:beli:

Nah, you buy up cheap as hell assets and stash them. Hell he has enough money to go ahead and make the purchase, shut every theater down for proper remodels and have them bytches up and fully running by the time this all blows over which would be the smart play since you wouldn’t have to wait long for the new money to start coming in since you’re theaters won’t be down during blockbuster season.
