That's not the issue...

The issue is the advancement of technology which has been funded publicly and created on the taxpayers dime does not benefit society...it just benefit those who own it

Walmart already destroyed countless communities across the country, turning them into ghost towns, but at least they employed people

But if Amazon makes one of these in your city or whatever...it benefits no one besides Amazon...

Technology is being mobilized against people

Wealth and capital is being mobilized against people

People like cheap, efficient and convenient shyt but it is at their own peril

Here is the other part of your argument. Competing companies and their boards and stockholders will be looking at Amazon's model and saying how the hell they can possibly compete.......unfortunately the only solution they will put out is more technology and less employees too.

It's about to get ugly outchere.

My point is that if the public came together and put their money/voice behind pushing back against some of this technology, it would work.
You put too much faith the average American. Americans do things that go against their self-interests all the time.

From your elections to where you spend your money.

Look at UBER, that company and the industry it created represents a dystopian future for America. Humans could easily choose to use Taxis but prefer UBER becasue It's cheaper and more convenient.

Hence my first post. I didn’t say that people would come together for their own good, I said that they could.
:heh: At humans replacing themselves with computers and technology

And your proposed solution is “fukk people:yeshrug:

That's not my proposed solution at all. I'm in favor of universal basic income that displaced people can use to sustain themselves while seeking other paths to employment.

Paying humans to inefficiently perform tasks that can be better performed by robots is backwards.

nikkas about to find a loophole and hit they ass in the mothafuking head. Gotta be a way you can trick the system. They gotta have humans in the store to monitor people cause humans will always find a way to outsmart computers. Just like self checkouts. Those ain’t nothing but licks. Stores gotta have people monitor people at the self checkout machines to help with issues they might have and to deter people from stealing.

A friend of mines would buy bags of grapes and 2 peaches and enter the barcode of the much cheaper peaches for everything.:russ:

What’s cheaper? Paying human to perform tasks or paying human UBI?
