It is inevitable as A.I will takeover as the dominant force that will survive wars, diseases and nature.
The majority of humans will inevitably die out and a super intelligent artificial entity will not care about the betterment of the human race
The worlds most powerful corporations will at some point be run by a super intelligent entity.

People always good with progress till that wave washes you up into the unemployment line.

My issue isn't the technology, it's the lack of human groundwork that's supposed to be laid BEFORE you implement the technology. Where is the fundamental shift in the education system nationwide for an evolved job market? Where are the incentives & initiatives for transitioning the enormous amount of people in these fields to another more viable option? Where's the legislation that regulates & ensures that your constituents have the necessary time to adjust? Why isn't there a clear plan for when this is going to be implemented so everyone is aware ahead of time?

You cover these basic points & you don't have the largest sector of workers in the country, service industry, left drowning, desperate, & angry. People are going to survive, by whatever means necessary. You can't convince me that no one in the government or private sector ever considered the consequences of these actions when they're bankrolling this technology for the past 30+ years.

I don't even know how nikkas are trying to Juelz their way into justifying this shyt.

humans survived the industrial revolution, we'll be fine.

As a successful black man, you know that fine isn't the goal & isn't enough. The industrial revolution is an entirely different era, back when America was leading the rest of the world. When we actually built things, there was a level of accountability in government from the people.

We went from Trump's forefathers arriving, getting rich, going broke, being deported, having to start back in the dirt and never being recognized as anything more than swindlers and brothel owners who got lucky to electing this fukk into Office.

This isn't even close to the same America it was 10 years ago much less the Industrial Revolution.

That's not my proposed solution at all. I'm in favor of universal basic income that displaced people can use to sustain themselves while seeking other paths to employment.

Paying humans to inefficiently perform tasks that can be better performed by robots is backwards.
This isn’t a “solution” at all for reasons that I’ve already laid out. Reasons that you deliberately avoided addressing. You’re just posting from a selfish ignorant ass perspective. You’re only saying this because you don’t think that your job can be eliminated or replaced by technology which makes me even question if you’re really a computer software developer. I mean, we’ve already seen bots with AI using their own non human language to communicate with each other. They can even write their own algorithms.

On top of being ignorant I also think that you’re being very disingenuous. You have basically taken a “fukk people” position. The purpose of a society is to function so that mankind lives in harmony with each other and the environment that they live. Technology is only beneficial when it aids in that. When technology detracts from the harmony of mankind then it’s a detriment not a benefit. You’re placing the priorities of business/corporate America over the priorities of the masses. Having the customer service industry eliminated by automation will ultimately only benefit big business/corporate America. It’s not going to benefit the masses or society as a whole unless those jobs can be replaced. Having everything automated ad the slight convenience that comes with that is not worth placing millions of people on a fixed basic income controlled by the government. Nobody would want to be subjected to. Again, you only throw that out as solution because you’re somehow convinced that you won’t be subjected to it.

You need to check yourself because you’re not thinking this through. Your position isn’t about you being some champion of technology or caring about our society moving forward. You’re just a selfish ignorant cat who doesn’t really give a fukk about others:yeshrug:

Robotics won't only displace a couple of industries. It has the potential to displace nearly all industries. There's even talk, and I'm sure they already have working examples of robots generating code, so these programmers will end up programming themselves out of jobs. What will end up happening is that there will be a super elite class that owns these robots and everybody else will be enslaved because they have no job and you have to do everything the government/elites wants you to do in order to get your 'universal income'. Any dissidence will be squelched due to that and to ai constantly monitoring you through social media and devices in your home like your tv to find instances of 'thought crime'... aka they stop you before you can even rebel. And no, this isn't theory. It's real

We’ve literally seen the future already play out in Hollywood:francis:

The white man has you all brainwashed so well. It's not really evident until you see threads like this. Besides racial rhetoric/politics I can't tell a Coli poster from a Reddit poster.
