Supposedly Whole Foods had a shytty growth strategy where they only focused on buying out established grocery stores in key locations for rebranding, skipping out essential IT/supply chain improvements. Amazon has that last part locked down ; Amazon Fresh expansion with this purchase and expansion of grocery delivery business now . Once you move into a bigger city where Amazon is on that delivery steez, the game might be changed (one day I'll get out of this podunk hell ). I might be one of the few left who likes going to the store for shyt (people are losing social skills and can't act right due to less face to face imo), but the option to have things at your doorstep in an hour or less is really nice
