Not to mention some modern countries have free healthcare.

Don't get sick brehs/brehettes.

When you get sick in this country or need care when you're older and get those medical bills :wow:

Those the types of bills, life-changing events and services that will wipe your life savings clean in one go and have you looking for work again.

If inflation keeps rising like it is, your money saved today may not even cover a quarter of the new operations they'll have.

The tweet at the beginning of the thread doesn't really make any sense. He's saying that he leaves his home super early, but in the next post he's saying "you want people to go back into the office...?" Is he doing it or not?

I'm more interested in the ROFL_Guy angle to this thread. What's this guy's age range? How much does he have at the end of the week? Is he only doing sports betting, or are there other games mixed in there as well? Doesn't he pay taxes? Does he keep most of his money in a bank or in cash?

ROFL_Guy, feel free to make a separate thread. I'm sure enough of us will read it.

How much time until it's clear?

I'm going to give you something to think about. Sounds familiar, but I'm not going to say for sure we're in this stage of the end. But this is going to be the start of the end of this age of man, before the Kingdom to come.

Revelation 6

The First Seal—The Conqueror

1 Then I saw as the Lamb (Christ) broke one of the seven [a]seals [of the scroll initiating the judgments], and I heard one of the four living creatures call out as with a voice of thunder, “[b]Come.”
2 I looked, and behold, a [c]white horse [of victory] whose rider carried a [d]bow; and a crown [of victory] was given to him, and he rode forth conquering and to conquer.

The Second Seal—War

3 When He (the Lamb) broke the second seal, I heard the second living creature call out, “Come.”
4 And another, a [e]fiery red horse [of bloodshed], came out; and its rider was empowered to take peace from the earth, so that men would slaughter one another; and a great sword [of war and violent death] was given to him.

The Third Seal—Famine

5 When He (the Lamb) broke open the third seal, I heard the third living creature call out, “Come.” I looked, and behold, a black horse [of famine]; and the rider had in his hand a pair of scales (a balance).
6 And I heard something like a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, “A quart of wheat for a denarius (a day’s wages), and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not [f]damage the oil and the wine.”

The Fourth Seal—Death

7 When He (the Lamb) broke open the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature call out, “Come.”
8 So I looked, and behold, an ashen (pale greenish gray) horse [like a corpse, representing death and pestilence]; and its rider’s name was Death; and Hades (the realm of the dead) was following with him. They were given authority and power over a fourth part of the earth, to kill with the sword and with famine and with [g]plague (pestilence, disease) and by the wild beasts of the earth.

But it sounds familiar because we're talking about war and we're talking about famines partly because of the war. But people that don't pay attention and don't get themselves ready will be caught unprepared when it does happen.

It definitely feels like 2008. Back then we had to struggle to get a single job, now unless you have an advanced skill you need two just to make it unless you have a working spouse/roommates. The Feds trying to push rates up to curb unemployment so Management and Corporates Ego is about to blow up again.

Thankfully my main job is WFH, but I do the Gig-Economy on the side to build savings and its getting worse with everybody and their mama on these apps accepting low offers even though gas prices are up 50% in one year. At that point you're probably not even breaking even.

Biden too busy sending money to Ukraine to care. Florida getting hit the hardest with COL adjustments but Ron Desantis too busy getting ready for 2024.

Amazon Flex huh? I haven’t worked in 3 weeks because of gas prices and they’re offerings the same shytty ass rates. 81 dollars for 4.5 hrs when it’s gonna take Atleast 30-40 for gas to do the route that’s less than 10 dollars an hour and these idiots are still doing that shyt smh
I did Amazon flex when it first came out and it was a terrible idea. When I thought about it. It would been better to just load the trucks for minimum wage.

I want to empathize with him. But I hop on the bike trail @5am, ride to work and work from 7 to 7 then ride back home getting there @8pm.

Now that's a choice for me. I choose to ride to work. I also choose to work til 8, I get off at 3pm.

I don't believe he is stuck in his situation. He could get a bike, or take the bus, or walk. The housing situation sucks so even if he wanted to move closer to his job he probably can't.

He has options. Maybe not comfortable ones. I hear people all the time say "I can't ride a bike to work." "I can't walk to work" "I can't take a bus"

I get it. I don't believe I could take a bus. I think there's a route near me but I've never looked into how far or how I would get to work on it.

But there's people in the same city he's in, in the same cities and towns we're all in that walk, or ride. All day, early morning, late at night, after hours. In the rain, in the heat, in the cold.

I just rode 15 miles in the pouring rain. I didn't have the luxury of using my rain suit, but I have one. They make'em. They keep you dry. Yeah, you'll have to leave earlier, it sucks.

If his car died on the side of the road, he'd probably call someone for a ride. If his car had to go to the shop he'd probably get a rental or get a ride for a few days. At some point all those options will or can go away and he'll have to face some uncomfortable options.

If you get off at 3, why do you work til 7? Overtime?

Yeah. It's good money. Plus, I'm already there. There's a gym there so sometimes I'll workout from 3-5 then do a lil work from 5-7. It all just depends what I have going on. If I have plans or just want to enjoy my day and the sun, I'll dip. If I've got nothing going on I might as well get paid.

Nah I feel it. I’d do the same. But more people gotta have that perspective. I’m on salary though, so my incentive is to do as little work as possible. So I try to be done asap. :manny:

So many questions

1. What city does he live in, is it walkable where he can sell his car to save money of expenses for a car?
2. What is his pay for each of the jobs?
3. What is his educational/skills background?
4. How well does he save and manage his money?

Its 2022 and people still fall for these one sided twitter posts for sympathy
