Sprawl is actually a very important issue that intersects with other issues (racial equality, economy/jobs, infrastructure, COL, agriculture etc.)

You could literally replace sprawl with overpopulated cities and make the exzct same argument.

Not exactly. Most American cities aren’t overpopulated and only in the last two decades have been repopulating from record lows.
There’s a lot of topics that people here unnecessarily worry about. This isn’t one of them.

don't the two issues pretty much intersect though, sprawl is a direct result of massive growth in the immediate counties surrounding most of these bigger cities fueled by the growth of the core cities economic base.

Suburban Sprawl was primarily fueled by the highway system, housing loans to white people and racism, then QOL issues
