CNBC and CNNMoney don't know shyt, all these publications just get freelance writers to write their opinion pieces. Yes saving is important but those guidelines are bullshyt.

Just follow Dave Ramsey's advice, read his books from the library, I'm surprised no ones made a thread on him and managing your money.

I don’t plan on having children because I don’t think I could leave them shyt. I got great bread but then I’ll have to pay off my whip and put down on a nice crib.

How am I expected to have children, max out investment account, build decent savings, etc... at the same damn time?

All I see is my precious prime being wasted, so I gotta prioritize. I decided that I won’t be bringing shyt to this world and will leave assets and a million dollar policy to my nieces and nephews.

A lot of people don't agree with Dave Ramsey.

I don't agree with some things he says. His investment advice is horrible and he thinks credit cards are the devil (they kind of are, but they can be used responsibly), but everything else he teaches is pretty solid, and he can definitely help people that are in severe debt. I listen to his podcast, its actually entertaining when he goes on his rants.
