I'm sure I've told this story before, but When I was in tech, I remember one of the INTERNS found something on the line that was costing the company MILLIONS. They had all these PHDs, and it was some random guy that noticed something wrong.

So when the internship came to an end, they was offering him the same money as the rest. He wanted a 2k bump compared to the next man, but nah.

Tech especially, but work in general - they never even attempt to pay you for the value that you create.

We need an entirely new constitution and system of government. This version is failing. It's been studied, its flaws exposed by the wealthy and 'we the people' now have very little power.

I am not a revolutionary in my middle age but I don't know how we are going to get from where we are to where we need to be without some dramatic event altering our course.

I personally I think it's the absolute worst time to be having this conversation. I worry that we are in an extreme minority in our thought processes. When trump won every single pillar of govt from the house, to the senate, to the house of reps, to the judiciary , to the executive agencies, this signaled the general perception of the rest of our fellow Americans. And if we open the can of worms that is a constitutional convention, then the right wing general populace will have a field day on black people's rights.


I agree with you that its necessary, but it requires proper timing. I think the last time this conversation could have been had with a good result was during Obama's years.


Perhaps its worth looking into once again if the rightward swing gets a strong blue pushback after Trump's failures. The American population is so temperamental that all it would take is one big geopolitical event or one big recession, and they would blame everything on republicans. It's at this point That a constitutional convention can be proposed.

Oh yes there is.

Its been a hot minute since i was in govt class but i recall you needed a general consensus to ammend the constitution. It requires delegates to be sent by each state but our fellow Americans are all maga and gave republicans most of the states in our last election. so what consensus do you think their state delegates will come to When deciding which amendments to change or add to? The other method to change the Constitution is even worse because it only requires Congress to act and guess who controls both chambers of congress?

Having this conversation now might legitimately lead to things like the 14th amendment being undone or rewritten in a 28th amendment. Republicans already want to backdoor their way into it by using the birthright citizenship for illegals scapegoat, But there's no universe where they stop there.


Which is why I'm saying we should wait until the tide has turned before having this conversation. It really won't take that long since The pendulum always turns after a geopolitical or economic failure . And because he's winging everything, Trump will completely fumble the ball when such an incident occurs.
