Is this really worth watching or it just stating the obvious about the state of modern American politics?

It's just a reflection of these past 12 years between Obama and Trump condensed. You forget about alot especially Obama's first term and it may give u a new perspective.

1. Trump's Approval ratings now compared to Obama in 2012. He also got impeached for something we all know he did.

2. The Margin that Obama won the electoral college in 2008 showed that people were comfortable with him as commander in chief in 2012 to vote for him again. Trump won Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin by razor thin margins already (States that got him into the white house) And he lost the popular vote. This shows that people were willing to give him a try but didnt trust him like they did for Obama in 2008.

3. Obama got 365 electoral votes in 2008, Obama got 325 electoral votes in 2012. Trump got 304 electoral votes in 2016.

4. Obama didnt have a mass exodus of urban and big city voters in 2010. They just didnt turn out and stayed home in 2010 for him. Suburban voters especially women actively voted for Democrats some of which voted for Trump in 16. Along with rural voters, suburban voters propelled Trump to the White house. Romney in 2012 wasnt bleeding suburban voters like I expect Trump to in 2020 and he still got mollywhopped by Obama in 2012.

5. In 2018, Of the 41 congressional districts that Democrats turned from red to blue, 38 were suburban. 2020 is gonna be filled with them in a presidential election year.

If Trump wins in 2020, its gonna be way closer than it was in 2016. I'm talking 2000 and 2004 election close.

The Obama factors in 2012 are different from Trump in 2020.

Those 2018 mid terms especially in the suburbs were very telling about what's going to happen in 2020.

I’ll say what I say when people keep bringing up him barely winning PA, Michigan and Wisconsin

You guys forget he also ALMOST won states like Maine and New Hampshire. Why does nobody mention this? With Maine, Gary Johnson is what prevented him from winning the State. I know those two states have less electoral votes than Wisconsin and PA but people really act as if the race wasn’t close in some of the other states

Also mentioning things like the Muslim Travel Ban as a failure is odd cause his supporters are glad he did that and count it as one of his “promises made promises kept” . We say “disaster”, they are glad that he kept his fascist promises

The impeachment hearing is also gonna backfire on the Democrats

A silent group people aren’t discussing are the Jews...they will be supporting him more for what they feel are pro Jewish policies he has done in his term from moving the embassy to the recent executive order about making being Jewish a nationality

Read these links:

Sanders says he’s proud to be Jewish, but is ‘not actively involved’

Sarsour Saga Shows Sanders’s Continued Struggles With Jewish Voters

If Bernie is the nominee this is gonna damage him severely

Another thing I noticed people do is when they say Trump lost the popular vote and bring up the 2000 election they fail to mention the same George Bush that lost the popular vote in 2000 won the popular vote in 2004 even if it was barely close

If Bernie is the nominee yeah Trump winning the popular vote is unlikely for Trump but with Biden it’s a strong chance

Obama’s approval rating in January 2012 was
...46 percent

Obama Begins 2012 at 46% Job Approval

Man I wonder sometimes where y’all get the things you say. Why do y’all underestimate how much white people support Trump? In this election it won’t be close either he will win by a bigger margin/more electoral votes than in 2016. Only way that doesn’t happen is if we enter in a major recession

And finally you think America is gonna have the first Black President have two terms and then they elect their “own guy to take back their country :mjpls: “ and only give him one term :mjlol: I don’t think you realize how much Black people have tuned out Democrats by now. I know y’all tell me Bernie has the highest net favorability among young Black people but be honest how often do you see Black people at Bernie rallies? Why and how do you expect A Democrat to beat Trump without 2008 and 2012 levels of Black support?

As for Maine and New Hampshire
I think you are forgetting how much people in this country did not fukk with Hillary. Obama won New Hampshire and all of Maine's electoral votes comfortably in 2008 and 2012

2016 was the perfect storm of fukkery to allow Trump to win

You had an energized right motivated by their disdain for the media, disdain for eight years of Obama, their hatred for the Clintons sprinkled with those obama to trump voters believing the con man.

Plus

The Progressives staying home because they screwed Bernie out of the nomination and they thought like the rest of us that there was no way in hell that Trump could win a national election

Plus Comey and Anthony Weiner

And

Russian Bots trolling and spreading fake stories with the support of far right media along with the tacit support of right media and the major networks.

The Muslim travel ban was just an example along with a myriad of other things that has contributed the daily chaos and fukkery of the Trump administration. I mean it's like daily fukkery. That Muslim travel ban was like his first day in office too :mjlol:. Just so much fukkery to even list :mindblown:. I think people in the middle and independents are tired of the fukkery with him. It's the media overblowing things but Trump has done alot of unnecessary shyt too.

The impeachment had to happen. It's not going to backfire on the dems because it's clear what Trump did was wrong. He clearly made that call and said what he said and then withheld the aid and there was clearly a whistleblower complaint. The Senate likely wont remove him but the Democrats would look like pussies if they let that shyt rock. This is not like the Clinton impeachment or The Mueller Probe cause it's clear he abused his power as President. This is not about some lying about getting ur dikk sucked by an intern or some hard to prove Trump campaign - russian connection to get him elected.

Most American Jews are liberal and a good number of them are like Sanders in that they are not that spiritual with it. They defend Israel but they aren't gunho about it like Trump thinks they are. Obama got 78 percent of Jewish votes in 2008 and 69 percent in 2012. And Obama was not the most friendly to Israel. Hillary got 71 percent of the Jewish vote in 2016

And breh, u from New York.:usure: U know how them Hasidic Jews are with the Social Welfare programs. I'm not worried about American Jews not fukking with Sanders cause of his stance with Israel.

I trust American jews more than Hispanics and white women to vote for the democrat in 2020.

Trump's approval rating is in the low 40s and he has steadily been there and his disapproval has been in the 60s. Obama's disapproval was never in the 60s.

Bush's disapproval ratings during his first term was never in the 60s. Trump is not winning the Popular vote with a 60 disapproval rating.

I agree with u tho, that silent majority is a motherfukker so I dont know what's happening in 2020. In 2016, alot of those white people voted for Trump but would never admit it which fukked up the poll numbers and gave everyone a false sense of security. Most of us were at least surprised when he won the election because of the polling. They not fooling anyone this time tho.

I feel comfortable to say that Trump and his silent majority wont catch the left sleeping this time around.

And I am confident he is not winning Pennsylvania and Michigan again so the election is gonna be closer. Like I told u before, Trump is bleeding suburban voters support. He needs the suburbs to win states like Michigan and Pennsylvania. 2020 is gonna be closer than 2016 just off that.

Wisconsin is probably the one to decide who wins the white house in 2020

I think most black people have a disdain for Trump and they will be motivated to go out there and vote to get him the fukk outta there this time.

2020 election night and the ensuing fukkery is gonna be lit tho.

Bannon is dropping gems in this individual interview too for the documentary. Y all should check this out too.

He is a surprisingly objective guy and he really understands the Trump Phenomenon and breaks it down masterfully.

He is even right about Obama winning as a populist in 08 and having to retreat back to neoliberal guidance and bailouts due to the 08 financial crisis because he is not a finance guy. This directly led to many people being disillusioned with that move that directly led to the tea party and losing the house and then the senate and indirectly led to Trump in 16 with a republican house and senate.

Like I said, Obama really fukked up by listening to Geithner and not punishing some of those people in Wall Street for their part in the financial crisis of 08.

If Bernie or Warren wins Iowa and/or New Hampshire. Its gonna be a loud scream that the democrats should not roll out Biden or Mayor Pete or Bloomberg or Klobuchar if they are trying to beat Trump in 2020. A populist movement is the only surefire way to beat Trump.
