Every Hispanic-style fried chicken I’ve ever eaten wasn’t crispy enough, but I’ve only had it from Cubans and Mexicans. By the way, aren’t Puerto Ricans and Dominicans technically Black?

:whoa:

I don’t think he means any harm but if someone would like to explain it to him…

mixed.

but I find it funny how people don't like it when Africans claim black , but with Puerto Ricans/Dominicans is different.
:wtf:

We don’t give af breh, they are black. Just not Black American or AA black and they proudly let us know every chance they get… just like the Dominic00ns, Cubans, PR, etc.

"Black" ("racially") is a range of Phenotypes, a Phenotype that originated on the African Continent.

Many Puerto Ricans and Dominicans conform to "Black Phenotypes", as well as have Recent (within the last 400 years), West-Central African Ancestry.

Does that make them Black Americans ("Ados/FBA/Freedmen")? NO.

Would that make them(the ones with Black Phenotypes) "Afro-Latinos" AKA "Black Latinos" YES.

The "Confusion" comes from people who don't "understand" the different between "Black Racially" and "Black Ethnically/Culturally".

9 times out of 10 when someone is talking about "Black Culture" they are Primarily talking about Black American culture(s).

There are also "Non-African Blacks": Melanesian, Negrito, Australoid etc..., who though are "100% Eurasian", got/retained their "Black Phenotypes" from Ancient African origins.
