Bunch of ignorant dumb asses in here spewing their opinions as facts. A well balanced and reared dog isn't just going to 'snap' randomly, regardless of breed.
A dog isn't born a vicious killer, blame the clueless owners that directly and indirectly allow the dogs to become that.
This notion of dogs being unpredictable is beyond stupid as well, nothing but a bunch of assumptions and generalizations. Doesn't help that the vast majority of people that get these types of dogs is clueless about properly raising them either

Breed makes a very big difference in the disposition of the dog; not all breeds are equally domesticated.
Pit bulls were specifically bred to be aggressive. That is, higher levels of stress-hormones in their blood was a desirable trait by those who originally bred them, because they wanted an animal that was as fierce as it was strong.
So when people say, "Pits are inherently a dangerous breed." they're not far off, even though they may not necessarily know the "why" behind that statement.
Of course the training and owner matters as well, but to think that a pit is as safe as a breed that was bred for a different purpose is wishful (and often dangerous) thinking.

a hose; full blast, make sure you cover some of the nozzle with your finger so the water pressure triples, spray em in the face. dad used to use this and it always worked
Pot of hot water
weights. last time my dogs was in a 2 on 1 fight i got a 25 pound metal plate off my barbell and threw it from overhead on the biggest ones back. both let go immediately and aint been in a fight since.

never will i understand these morons that have these dangerous dogs all up on other people or off a leash. once, i was walking down the street and this dumbass on the other side of the road had a female pit off the leash walking in the opposite direction. this dog started right towards me once it saw me, but it was like all dogs will do, probably to smell me or try to lick me. he called back to her and was all like 'it's cool man.' no it is not cool. what if i were some old guy or weak ass woman and the dog decided to snap? Then, at that same spot on that same street,i was walking another time and was listening to music on my kindle when i just happened to look up and see some hug black dog sprinting full force toward me and barking like it was crazy. I guess it's owner called it back bc it stopped like 20 feet away. THAT one would have tried to take me down and i would've had to fukk his ass up. Folks need to learn that these are animals that cannot be controlled without leashes.

There are obviously more clear, readable signs that a human being can display from speech or body language which give cues of potential aggressive or violent behavior vs an animal.
