Dogs have really good sense of smell so mace spray should be a good deterrent.

But honestly I think the reason why most people are overpowered by dogs is because they don't want to hurt them.

I think they are trying to diffuse the situation moreso than fight for their lives.

I'm the owner of a pit and a doby. Beat my dog to a coma for coming sideways at my daughter one day. Fortunately, I knew better than to leave my toddler around ANY dog no matter how docile they are. Never know when your dog has a toothache or just a bad day.

I love my pit and she is great. I won't lie though I know she has the capacity to fukk someone up. But she is well socialize with other dogs and she loves kids.

Now my neighbors pit . That dog is going to eat someone's face some days. He has zero training and for some reason they let the kids walk him. If i see the kids outside I give them my dog to play with and walk their dog for them. He is strong as shyt... but not stronger than me. literally spent 20 minutes wrestling his ass yesterday. He was tired as hell but he finally chilled out. Wish i could spend more time with him. I just hope folks don't get our dogs confused.
