http://m.nydailynews.com/new-york/b...ed-man-killed-dogs-neighbor-article-1.2358952

According to yesterday's article it seems like the owner didn't sic the dogs on him, she just couldn't control them. She feeds them raw meat and they have already killed 2 dogs in the neighborhood.

Look I do agree it's the owners fault, but why do pits seem to be the only ones who end up with bad owners? I never heard of no collie or lab or St Bernard (besides cujo) attacking people on the regular. We hear about pitbull attacks at least 5 times a year.
:mjlol:What? Watch Ceasar Milan or Me or the Dog. Their are SO many horrible pet owner with devil dogs. Seriously they got dogs out there that bit people daily! Watched one episode and this chick had a smaller dog and was part of a dog group of at least 20 dogs and the dog had bit everyone in the group + their dogs + their kids at least 3 or 4 times. The dog was a savage. He would just walk in the park and just start biting everyone.

BTW Ceasar uses a pit named Daddy to help trains and tame all the other savage dogs.

I get where you're coming from with your argument. But your argument sounds like when people say, "more people die in car crashes than plane crashes." But look at how much more destruction a plane crash causes. Its just like with pitbulls, yeah there are other dogs that are aggressive, but pitbulls have the capacity to totally maul, and even kill, a person. These dogs are just too unpredictable, and vicious.

I've owned dogs all my life and would never own a pitbull because I know how dangerous they can be. I currently have an 80 lb Lab mix and we were at an off-leash beach in sf. A pitbull came over and ended up playing with myself and dog while his owners chilled on the beach. The dogs got along great and played around for about an hour. When we packed up to leave the pit came over and just snapped with no warning and attacked my dog I ended up picking up a piece of drift wood and beating and kicking the pit and nothing phased it luckily the owner was able to run over and get control of the dog but for a 60 lb dog able to take hits with a log, punches and kicks from a man that is 6'4 and 300lbs without being phased just proves how dangerous the breed can be. Once they lock on there is very little beyond killing it that will get it to let go.

Shame people are mindless brutes such as dogs with the struggles of African Americans, doesn't make sense to really stoop to that level, but that's on them.

Now for the dogs themselves, they are naturally killers and meant for insecure folks who need to feel "bad" or "tough". Whenever I see them getting walked (often) with no leash or muzzle guard, I have to be extra wary because the owners are often knuckleheads or frail people who will have no control of their assassin once a squirrel, sunlight, children laughing, or change in air pressure triggers their killer reflexes.

If you end up in that situation, what can you do to get the Pit off you? Would targeting its stomach work or does it have a soft spot somewhere?

Owned pitbulls for 15 years

No, the responses to being attacked here are hilarious with ppl talkin out they ass. They will get you killed or hurt even worse

Best way to get a pit bull off of you is with something called a break stick

It's meant specifically and only for pitbulls, anyone who considers themselves a responsible pitbull owner has one of these

You insert into the back of the dogs mouth and twist clockwise.

BEFORE that though what you want to do if your helping someone being attacked is have someone bring you a lesh or rope , take that and attach / tie it to the dogs collar

Attempt to move the person and dog close to something you can can tie the other end of the leash or rope to, fence works best

At that point you want to use the break stick or something else shaped like it on the dog, best way is to stand over and straddle the dog with your legs and use the stick

Something else that works is a squirting water up the dogs nose

But none will work unless you have the dog tethered to something first

:martin: i hate this shyt, but i got tagged in here.

:dog: my little boy is doing great. had a boys' week with him while my lady was in philly. wore his ass out walking all day long.

personally i don't think most people should have dogs because they don't put forth the effort, time, and money to train them. lots of people don't show their dogs any LOVE. :rudy:

my dog stays on his leash. my dog stays in a fenced-in backyard or a gated front porch. my dog gets walked regularly and exercised. i do my best to socialize him but he is a rescue and sometimes that just doesn't work due to his history. so what do i do? i go somewhere else with him. and guess what? if you don't like it, go fukk youself. :mjlol:
