been posting this dudes music in the Lounge for years.. had his early sh!t, for awhile.. something about this, just aint there..

I don't like th album off first listen, but, I'm happy for the glo up

its dre. he zapped paaks energy from the album. every paak project before this had a bounce to it. oxnard is flat and cold.

because these 2 songs, are better than anything on that album imo..

Prolly too much Dre to bring too many people in.

I can hear from these songs the influence they have on Paak's sound.

The beat were cool, just, the subject matter was so surface level.

I rocked with the Bubblin' video because I thought it was satire...was it? :baldD:

Free Nationals is his band he's been with since High School.. they were in the SNL clip, so i guess their still together.. if you hear alot of his older sh!t, im talkin years ago when he was still Breezy Lovejoy.. you can easily tell the difference in his sound, especially with this album..





i can see how alot of his newer, casual fans would think this album is good.. but, its a huge step back in terms of production/quality.. he still got 2 classics.. but ,this album just aint gonna be one to remember down the road..

Just don't compare it to Malibu cause that's probably one of the best albums in the 2010s.

Didn't play this album much after it dropped again until recently. The 2nd half of the album is nice, particularly the run from "My Brother's Keeper" up to "Sweet Chick", maybe a couple tracks in the first half of the album, but overall, this was a let down for me compared to his previous work

It's a good album. It's just not the instant classic I think we all expected. Hopefully he sticks to a more organic sound on his next album, also less guests next time around
