Agreed but its still on par with his other projects. I just realized breh got 4 (possibly 5) consecutively dope albums.

Yeah man. Like sonically I fucced with it from jump Street but Malibu was soooooooo good I couldnt help but compare it. But I been ridin aroumd with Oxnard the past couple days and the shyt is:blessed:

MALIBU = CLASSIC
YES LAWD = NEAR CLASSIC
OXNARD = DOPE
VENTURA = NEAR CLASSIC


ANY1 PEEP THE FREE NATIONALS ALBUM? WHATS THAT 1?? HAVENT GOT AROUND TO IT.

Free national joint is dope too. Top songs on there is the joint with chronixx. The joint with Daniel Caesar , the greselda joint (even though it sounds like the Daniel Caesar joint) and the SYd joint. Good music throughout

NICE ILL HAVE TO CHECK....HE ONLY ON ONE JOINT THO? I THOUGHT IT WAS A GROUP HE WAS PART OF.

They are his band, they are their own musical entity. All very dope musicians.

I've been playing the Instrumental version of Ventura alot, was gutted to miss out on the vinyl.

How y'all feel about this 3 years later? It's been ages since I listened but I'm going back today and enjoying it more than I initially did.

I don’t view Paak as a rapper and I’m always confused when people do, but ironically his album progression has gone like a rapper’s to me: His best work was early and later work doesn’t compare.

For me Malibu is classic. Yes Lawd is classic. Oxnard the bar was so high so at the time I was lukwarm, but looking back there’s like 5 standout tracks and a couple good ones. It’s a aiiight album but a whole lotta skipping

Ventura?? Even more skipping. The Smokey joint, the 3k joint, and the Nate joint are A level …..and Yada yada. The rest I don’t really like, straight up skip. Just not as organic as his old stuff. Paak will forever be my dog but but man I want the ‘old Paak’ back as cliche as it sounds
