Them being equals is an argument that has only come up since Andre stopped rapping and Big Boi kept going. They were not seen as equals while the group was active.

If I make 200 songs with you and I have the more memorable verse on 195 of them, we ain’t equals breh. It don’t matter what you do after I stop, I’m ahead of you.

It’s not even about technical ability, we all know Big Boi is a great rapper in that regard. It’s the content of the lyrics. Andre was always ahead of the curve there. Not just ahead of Big Boi, but the majority of the industry.

Last year I listened to all of the OutKast albums back to back and I don't think people give Big Boi the credit he deserves because he was rapping his ass off since the their debut

I cant name many biggest Outkast stans than me. They are the greatest group of all time, started career with 3 classics but really 5 in a row pretty much, no none ever sounded like them or as innovative.
