This was interesting to listen to.

It's amazing how Floyd can make other professionals just fall into what he wants.

He's so smart in there, he just knows how to manipulate everything and see's everything coming.

Genius defensive fighter.

Another thing, is his foot agility at his age. You don't see guys in their late 30's still being able to dance out of danger when pushed to the ropes like him.

his disclipline is like no other
he will literally do the exact same thing over and over again until you adjust
and once you adjust to that one thing, he tries something new
he really has no weaknesses as a fighter

mayweather fights the battles he wants....his footwork and ring management is top tier and he can adjust on the fly

furthermore floyd isnt a brawler...which most people appear to want. which is why his fights get tagged as boring....which I concede is subjective

but what I never get is how people knock his excellence.....floyd is so good he made his opponents seem pedestrian

and its why some of these nutjobs actually entertained Rousey being a match for him....one of the darkest marks against sports commentary in my lifetime
Nobody does this though. :dwillhuh:

People hate on Mayweather because of his antics and because of his greatness (all the greats get this part). And people call Mayweather boring, which is subjective (I think the stronger argument could be made that dominance in itself is boring to a lot of people). But nobody who actually watches boxing ever knocks Mayweather's actual skills.

You can tell he was trying not to give Floyd TOO much credit and snuck a couple shots in there but as a professional AND a pro its expected

You can tell that despite the story being funny, it mustve been frustrating to describe how dude beats you and you barely touch him or he makes you not want to throw, takes you out your rhythm, puts you in the hole to where you become desperate to hit him but the more you throw the worse it gets

I think the only person that can beat Floyd is somone that can catch him early like Mosely did ir someone that boxes similar/smarter than Floyd
Does this guy exist?

you understand floyds mastery on the concept that he does just enough to win. think about that. especially later in career. he has fought legit talent and made 98% look pedestrian. its fools gold offensively even though his accuracy, no filler punches and footwork are excellent but defensively he is the greatest ive ever seen.

That was dope to hear, but any fight fan that knows a little bit about boxing could "see" this happening in 90% of his fights. That's why it's called a "science". Everything Floyd does from his feints down to the jab to the middle of the stomach serves a major purpose. Most people think boxing is just getting in there and swinging. They don't realize just how much reacting to a feint tires you out. Tensing your body up or over thinking can physically and mentally fatigue you. Add in the fact that he's literally right there and you can't hit him. By the 5th round, most of his opponents are just stuck in mud from physical and mental fatigue and frustration. People call it boring, but it's actually genius level shyt.

Jose Luis Castillo in their first fight in many eyes won and i had that scrap a draw at best

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
When Berto said floyd checks to see how hard you are breathing I hollered :russ:

That shyt has to be so annoying, you in there listening to your corner talk about adjustments then you look across the ring and see this
