I can't tell u how many times i see late in the 3rd and 4th quarters that the warriors just relax on defense and be likethe splash brothers will bail us out with the 3's
Warriors didn't make there playoff run last season because of there defense. There defense this year has been decent there just lacking that explosive offense in the 3rd and 4th quarter that they had last year. When they put Curry at the 2 and Klay at the 3 and let Jack handle the ball they were unstoppable on offense and you had to pick your poison. It's alot different when a guy with shaky handles and no jumpshot is handling the ball at the top of the key cuz the defense can just folk on Curry and Klay on those screens and not have to worry about Iggy taking his man off the dribble and hitting a jumper.

Don't count on it. That is what was said about dude's offense from 2004 to 2012 here in Philly. He is what he is offensively.

In a vacuum, 12m per year for Iggy isn't that bad. He's consistently top20 in RAPM (http://stats-for-the-nba.appspot.com/ratings/2014.html) and if you add him as a finishing piece to a finished core (e.g. Thunder, Spurs, Pacers, etc.) he's a perfect glue guy that will fill up the stat sheet, play D, and won't demand the ball in his hand.
But, the opportunity cost for the Warriors in the Iggy deal is looking bad. It's not just the money, but we sent out expirings and two 1st round picks. Those expirings coulda been used to get Luol Deng which woulda been a more offensively capable version of Iggy that's on an expiring contract. If we made another strong run, we re-sign Luol, if not, let him walk.
Those 2 picks coulda been used as deal sweetners for say a Kevin Love or Melo deal or just as sweetner to dump the David Lee contract. Now, the only sweetners we have are Barnes who's value is tanking and Klay who is turning into a volume shooter.
The Warriors core was not finished, but the hype of last years playoffs made them push all the chips in for Iggy as a finishing piece. Unfortunately we're still one superstar player away, but we wasted a lot of our chips (2 picks, expirings, 45m) on Iggy making a deal more difficult.
