The fukk. Not everybody is Tom Brady as in not everybody automatically goes to the SB their first year starting.

Y'all nikkas got outrageous expectations for young QBs

I think the pay for nikkas who haven't accomplished much or demonstrated a great deal of impact is outrageous. How does a nikka get a $115 million dollar deal and the expectations are the part that is outrageous? :what:

That's how it usually goes. fukking up/stepping up is like a virus on playoff teams. But we can't say a guy is worth 1/6 of the cap and cop pleas for shytty playoff performances though. It's on him, and all of these big money QBs, to actually show and prove.
Yeah I'm done talking to you about this shyt until the terms of the contract come out. Realistically, based on his regular season numbers, he's getting paid where he should be. That is all

Breh. DO YOU NOT KNOW HOW CONTRACTS fukkING WORK???

Is this your first NFL offseason?

Go look at the initial reports of Kaep's deal and then the actual fukking numbers and terms. THAT is what this contract is based off of. Stop being retarded

I remain resolute in my stance until one of these big money young QBs actually wins something AFTER getting the big money. :pachaha: at dudes acting like starting QBs get cut like that. He'll only get cut if he completely sucks or gets hurt. As long as he's good enough you are stuck with him.

The point is the QB position is greatly over paid. Unless youre elite you shouldnt be getting this type of contract.

The team now has less money to build around.

Having a great qb means absolutely nothing if the team around him is mediocre.

Soon as flacco got that contract look what happened to the ravens. What have the bears done? Or the lions?

Over paying mediocre qbs is a cancer to a team

if you dont overpay someone else will
unless you have a qb on a rookie contract you will pay.

Shows you how hard it is to find a decent QB in this league. If a guy is "above average" (T15 or so) and he wins consistently, he's eventually gonna get paid. Supply and demand'll continue to drive this market out of control.

I ain't mad at the Bengals - they might as well pony up before he takes off/gains leverage. He'd better win in January, though.

Dudes think QBs carry teams to SB victories and that does not happen. You need an entire team effort and while Andy has been a fukk up...the team has fukked up too.

The guy is 25? He was a 2nd round pick. He has already exceeded expectations. He should be fine in the playoffs with more experience.

Folk talking about Rodgers, Brees, Peyton, Brady, etc.... Tells me they haven't watched much football cuz them dudes didn't hit the ground running (especially in the post season). Brees got his ass traded. Peyton couldn't win a playoff game until his 4th one. Brady was game managing his way to SBs..only to win nothing once he became a premier QB. Rodgers hasn't done jack all in the offs except for that 1 SB year. Have some gotdamn patience. When he's falling over hiself in year 5 then talk about replacing him.

A few Floors Down from the Daily Grind
Lets just separate his playoff performance from his contract for a minute.

There is a reason agents and the players unions in every sport wants their players to 'set the market' for everyone else, it's called a comp. Basic of supply and demand. If your agent can paint a picture of you that shows that your similar to another player, and that player got X, a team cannot just go and say 'well that's an overpay, we don't believe the market for that caliber player is that' without a back up plan which in football only consists of younger players who are paid on a rookie scale.

If they don't have that, and they, say, go on the open market looking for one......how, exactly are they going to find a BETTER QB, for less money than the one they let go???
