Don't wanna hear nobody pop shyt about Flacco. At least he's won a title. What have these other dudes done?
Qbs dont win superbowls. Teams do.
Hence why the seahawks massacred the broncos.

Now that flacco is being payed like an elite qb the rest of the teams talent dropped and he isnt good enough to elevate them. Was he a key part of them winning? No doubt he was a cog in the machine, he was not the machine.

The patriots won superbowls as a team. Since they became the tom brady show they havent won shyt. Brees, rodgers and peyton have rings just as much because of their defense as them.

Which is why this dalton contract is ridiculous. And why ALL the qb contracts these days have become ridiculous.

Didnt he say he'd retire before playing for the Bengals
Through a 3rd party but yeah. Dude left and hasn't sniffed the postseason again. We've been to 3 straight. 4 in 5 yrs. Just gotta make that next step man. It's gonna happen. The weapons are too good and experienced this year. I think this is the year where even if he plays shytty in the playoffs we could still win a game

for whatever reason each of his 3 playoff losses...the atmosphere has been bleh. Bengals always get that early Saturday game and it seems the fans arent even into it. Just boring, bad football.

folks talkin that 'andy TOOK them to playoffs 3 years in the row' no he didnt

people forget WHY the bengals became better.

in 2009 they lost only 6 games with palmer.

then they won 4 games the year after and went to rebuild mode with stellar success

were able to give away overrated, average qb for a kings ransom of draft picks (THATS how its done)
draft geno atkins, gresham, dunlap in 2010
then aj green, dalton (young unproven qb) and

they gave away their starting qb and drafted a young one not asking stupid questions of oh whaaat would we do without our average ass qb

they couldve held onto palmer, have a proverbial bird in the hand and not do shyt. but they didnt back then and thats why theyre a good team now.

I wish I could rep you right now. Your demonstrative example really adds cachet to your overall point. Would it make more sense then to trade Dalton for picks and draft a QB in the first to next year to replace Dalton:ohhh:?

Cincy could move up in the draft, take Mariota and still make the playoffs.

Yeah I drove to Cincinnati for that game...we took over the stadium lol. Palmer was bad....we couldnt stop Cedric though. That was Revis' god mode season.

Laverneus Coles had the first TD :dead:

I don't get how we are only competing against ourselves and still overpaid...We should of at least made him play this year out.

On the other hand, @triplehate is right that QBs rarely get cut so if Dalton maintains his current playoffs plateau with a win or two there, he could well see 60+ million in cold cash for mediocrity and fukkkery.

Simply put, they can't. Dalton is only option for the Bengals right now regardless of pay scale. If he were a back up, he'd be the best back up QB and if the Bengals steered away from signing him, they'd just end up with a worse back up. So the market dictates that Dalton has to get paid. That doesn't mean you have to like it, but he does have to sign a contract. There just aren't any viable alternatives outside of trade.
the market is set, and andy isnt wrong by demanding market $, i agree as much

however, bengals nor any team HAS to do anything. no team has to pay the price if they see value not corresponding to impact. every nfl player out there has a value beyond which teams should conside alternatives

also, when you say alternative, you mean talent level. when you should be looking at value. there is alternative for every single player in nfl history value-wise, as long as there is salary capr

they picked up AJ's 5th year of his contract already when they could have gave him a new deal. They chose to pay Dalton first knowing the receiver position is more risky. If I was AJ, i'd sit the fukk out. Ain't no way this garbage ass nikka is gonna get 100M's and they don't fatten my pockets up

Real shyt. I mean dude has won big time regular season games. He's had 10 4th quarter winning drives. He beat the Steelers with his arm 2 yrs ago in a winner goes to the playoffs, loser stays home scenario.

People speaking the loudest on him are the people that don't watch the team regularly. It's essentially like hearing Stephen A try to talk about the NFL. These nikkas don't know shyt.

Can't lose in the playoffs 3 years in a row in round 1.

You're always gonna get roasted for that, and rightfully so. And I like Dalton, but he's had just miserable performances in the big spots.

I'm interested in seeing if the league eventually pushes more towards starting QB's on their rookie deals. I'd take a 2-3 year run with Russell Wilson/Nick Foles at 1 Million over a 5 year run with Dalton/Stafford/Flacco at 15 million. Obviously this comes at a higher risk as finding a Russell Wilson every 3 years takes a great amount of scouting talent/luck, but I just don't see these non-elite QB's being worth it.

Breh. AJ came out a few weeks ago and said he wanted them to get the deal done with Andy first. Look it up motherfukker.

You're just making shyt up.
