At this point in their respective careers, Green is better than Andre Johnson. Anyone who disagrees needs to slam their head in their car door because it's so fukking obviously true.

Foster is obviously >>>> Green-Ellis.

So who does that leave?

Kevin Walter v. Brandon Tate and Jermaine Gresham v. Owen Daniels.

I think Tate is > Walter. Younger, more athletic, less injury prone, and more of a downfield threat.

I'd also give Gresham the edge over Daniels for similar reasons.

So yes, when you talk about it position for position, Dalton does have better weapons. The problem is that the combination of Johnson/Foster is better than the combination of Green/every other player in the Bengals offense. Foster provides something that the Bengals, despite their slightly better depth at WR2 and TE, can't match -- a running back that can carry a team all by himself.

Because of the relative importance of the RB position alone, I'd give Schaub a slight edge.

AJ Green is at worst the second best wide receiver in the NFL. To suggest anything else is just false I'm sorry.

Wow.

AGAIN (gotta keep repeating it, since nikkas on here are dense as fukk and don’t read), I am a huge fan of A.J. Green, so this isn’t a knock on him. But at THIS point, no, he’s not a better receiver than Dre of the fact that (1) Dre has better numbers, and (2) Dre has CONSISTENTLY done this over several seasons. Until AJ shows that same consistency over an equal period of time, how can you say he’s “better”, with a more limited body of work? And based on WHAT, the eye test? It damn sure ain’t based on the stats:

A.J. – 97 receptions, 1,350 yards, 13.9 AVG, 11 TDs
Andre – 112 receptions, 1,598 yards, 14.3 AVG., 4 TDs

Peep:

HOUSTON—At first, Houston Texans receiver Andre Johnson heard the whispers. As his frustration grew, the whispers became shouts, but he kept quiet. He knew the real reason he had only nine catches for 164 yards over a four-game stretch early in the season.

Fans and media insisted Johnson’s career was coming to an end. They pointed to his puny statistics, so very un-Johnson like, as mounting evidence. Yes, Johnson had started the season with eight catches for 119 yards and a touchdown in a victory over Miami, but then, the critics claimed, Johnson hit that proverbial wall that slows so many veterans, no matter how talented they were or how much they had accomplished.

Johnson, who turned 31 in July, knew a lingering groin injury that had slowed him in training camp had not healed. Combined with the two hamstring injuries that limited him to seven games and 33 catches for 492 yards in 2011, and it was easy to see why so many thought Johnson was nearing the end of a magnificent run as one of the NFL’s premier receivers.

“You’re going to have doubters, no matter what you do, because that’s the nature of this business,” Johnson said, standing in front of his locker. “People have their own opinions. I knew what a lot of people were saying, but I also knew what was going on. I knew it was only a matter of time, a matter of getting healthy.”

And then Johnson did get healthy, and then his performance took off again. Since that four-game stretch that brought out the “doubters,” as Johnson calls them, he has averaged 8.4 catches and 119.6 yards per game.

This season Johnson joined Marvin Harrison as the only receivers with at least 100 catches and 1,500 yards in three seasons, and ALSO joined Jerry Rice as the only receivers with 100 catches and 1,500 yards in their 10th season or later.

Just how great has Johnson (6-3, 230) been? He has averaged 5.88 catches per game, the most in NFL history for players with at least 500 receptions. Harrison is second with 5.80. Since Kubiak became his head coach in 2006, Johnson has averaged 6.5 catches per game.

Johnson lines up wide to both sides and in the slot. He also starts in the backfield and goes in motion. There have been times when Kubiak has him shift into the backfield and run his route from there.

Johnson still runs well. He’s strong off the line of scrimmage. He runs precise routes. He can outjump smaller cornerbacks. He has amazing concentration when the ball’s in the air. His strong, quick hands allow him to snatch the ball from defenders.

Over the last six seasons, Johnson’s average of 90.2 yards per game is the NFL’s best. Detroit's Calvin Johnson is second at 83.8.[/b]

AJ wasn't consistent catching a TD in 8 straight games?

Saying AJ at this point is a better receiver than Andre isn't an affront or slap to Andre's dominance over the years. But AJ is a bigger threat to take it to the house as it now stands.

Dre only has 4 TDs this year. AJ's been doing this with NO OTHER ELITE THREAT ON THE TEAM and a second year QB, whereas Dre has a top 5 running back on his squad that defenses also have to gameplan for.

Dre's been great over his career but AJ has surpassed him already.

LOL @ you guys acting like Andre Johnson wasn't dealing with a groin injury for the first half of the season and STILL finished with more yards than AJ...the only reciever to have more yards than Andre is calvin

before last year everyone was asking who was the best reciever between Calvin and Andre..........ain't shyt changed.

AJ and Julio will be the best 2 recievers in the league in the future but as of right now AJ is not better than Andre. Honestly if Fitz had a QB who could throw he'd be the 3rd best

Love Dalton, have a strange feeling they're gonna be the team to take down Denver

They already lost by 8 at home to Denver and that was with Cin being + in turnovers. They're probably not gonna beat Houston this week either. They've been having alot of O-line troubles. That being said, they matchup the best defensively with both of the top seeds.

I wonder how the air @ mile high would affect Geno though. he has a similar condition that Ryan clark has.

I just don't trust Manning in the playoffs against a tough D, bottom line.

Dude is 9-10 in the playoffs, he is a different QB once all the chips are on the table.
