It’s really no comparison between the two from a basketball perspective, she’s not in CC’s stratosphere.
Yup and it’s not to say Reese can’t get better and won’t be able to win games with her play. Any player can take over.
At this point for her to take over games consistently though she has to learn how to play better individual and team basketball. Meaning understand the game on a fundamental level. Know when and how to call both her own shots doing what she does or recognize it’s time to give the ball up for the better opportunity.
She can 100% learn that and dominate in a similar way regarding high-level orchestration of an offense but different way than how Caitlyn plays (who’s more perimeter-based). Ideally, Angel would orchestrate like Giannis, Caitlyn like a Steph. However, Caitlyn is just starting off on a much higher fundamental of play which is why she’s doing it so soon.
Basically right now Caitlyn is manipulating defenses while Angel Reese is reacting to defenses or trying to brute force things. Angel can 100% learn that skill, but she needs her game to step up first in order to be a mismatch and to get her understanding of team play up so she can swing the ball. Then they’ll be much more comparable.
