I don't have a problem with her message but just wanted to point out having a grandmother that was a nurse and a grandad that owned his own electrician company would not have been considered blue collar/service sector in the black community at that time. Additionally, she mentioned her great grandfather being a Pullman Porter. Pullman Porters were high status jobs for black men during that era. If you were a Pullman Porter, you were squarely within the "bourgeoisie" and she knows that. Angela is a member of The Links, she doesn't have to "blue collar" herself or her family down.
