because these neurotic bytches dominate the relationship and not the other way around. do you think that david beckham wanted to dress like a fakkit or that brad pitt was the one who had the idea to adopt a gazillion kids from all over the place?
yeah but the males are more popular, they could easily leave and make some other dame a star.Even the most alpha chic needs the dikk.So they do wield some power to say "hold up" when these broads start fukkin with their bodies. My guess is these pairings go in the way of a business arrangement and there is very little intimacy.Either that or pitt/beckham are downlow bros :patrice:

So in order for them to have discovered that particular gene (BRCA1 gene) I'm assuming they had to map her entire genome, correct?

and that can cost anywhere between 3 to 4 thousand dollars.......

Every American citizen should have access to these test/screens, but we live in a capitalistic nation where $$ comes before health and education so it will probably never be available to the general public at a reasonable price any time soon. And between now and then many lives will be lost when those deaths could have been prevented

Good ol demonic Capitalism killing folks again :salute:

:russ:

they start with a saliva swab for DNA to PCR and compare to the positive control mutation from the blood relative. that doesnt cost much including the labor, i could probably buy the primer for a few dollars and do it in less than 3 hours

They've lowered the 23andme test to $99, so basic testing is within reach. I got mine for free. I found I have double the risk for Psoriasis Alzheimer's (what my grandfather succumbed to), a higher risk for Colorectal Cancer and Primary Biliary Cirrhosis. :whoo: It's only a matter of chance, there's a couple of things I have a lower risk for but I have. Just the same as you can be genetically disinclined to be a sprinter, but be a sprinter.

this test is retarded, a two fold increase in risk isn't much in terms of genetic linkage.

From someone that has had the misfortune of watching two people slowly die from cancer I can't find any fault in her decision at all.

seems drastic but, :yeshrug: she did what she had to do.

Angelina Jolie undergoes double mastectomy - CNN.com

Actress Angelina Jolie announced in a New York Times op-ed article on Tuesday that she underwent a preventive double mastectomy after learning she carries the BRCA1 gene, which sharply increases her risk of developing breast cancer and ovarian cancer.

:sadcam:

Also, as a correction, everyone has the BRCA1 gene. She carries a certain mutation in that gene. That's why she did what she did.

Heard she had something above an 80% chance of getting it, so she did what was necessary to make the chance of getting it as slim as possible. She got her health and kids to think of, and if I'm not mistaken her Mother died from breast cancer.
