Tupac went at BIG cuz he was rolling with Bad Boy, it's simple as that. BIG didn't have the status in that clique to boss up on anyone and demand amends for Pac and wasn't interested in endangering himself or his family trying to do so. Even just giving Tupac information like he wanted would endanger him cuz Pac was liable to run his mouth about well Biggie told me this and that.

By him making that choice Pac felt betrayed and then saw it as fair to use him as a pawn in the larger conflict.

You can definitely argue that he was wrong for that, but that's the thought process on both sides at the start of the whole thing.

Angie has a really interesting insider's view on the creation of Power 105.1 as a hiphop station as well.

Clear Channel didn't want Hot 97 to be the #1 station ahead of their pop station Z100. So Power 105.1 was created to split Hot's audience.

Y'all gotta read this book. I'm at the part where Nas was supposed to close Summer Jam but bailed over creative control and went on Power instead.

Little Shawn aka Shawn Pen confirmed that Biggie got robbed by Henchman's goons after warning Pac to stay away from him & Jack. So Big did stick his neck out & was "disciplined" for that. Reason it got back to Henchman was from Pac's own mouth saying Big warned him to stay away from them.

I heard his interview on Combat Jack's show and he doesn't seem like the most truthful or reliable dude. But if that's true that's even more reason for BIG to fall in line.

He rarely speaks about what happened that night so I'm more inclined to believe what he has to say & it makes sense. The streets say Killer Ben might've been the one who robbed him who was apart of the Brooklyn Mob aka the Paid in Full team.
