@kingofnyc I lived in Saudi Arabia and knew who Tupac was, his movies and his music from 1992-95 before he got out of jail. He was an international star. You're either ignorant of or downplaying his stardom at that time. His career definitely slowed down after the rape case/shooting/jail and then exploded on Death Row.

I still remember MTV Asia talking about the rape case while showing clips of the Keep Ya Head Up video and thinking how could this same dude have done this?

He was done with his contractual obligations to Death Row by that point.He was about to start his own record label (Euthanasia)and establish his own power base.

This is pretty debatable since he had Makaveli Records which was without a doubt starting under Death Row. Plus Euphanasia was going to be a film company and used for community projects.

Its a good read homie i read it on e - books .... Dexter said they never shot pac at all , dex said pac shot himself in the groin then they beat the shyt out ov him and pistol whipped him thats was 1 ov the biggiest things basically dexter was saying pac was lying to the world about getting shot 5 x , i asked greg kading about this since there is a doctors affadavit on the reported 5shots.... Greg said that report wasnt done by the orginal doctor , the orginal doctor wasnt convinced pac had been shot 5 x and neither was nypd.... That medical report was done by a privite doctor ......greg beileves pac wasnt shot 5 x either n shot himself in the groin ..... Stretch said it to .... But yeah dexters book is a decent read

This is true , deathrow made him a mega star in 95/96 ... Plus everything surrounding him then , coming home from jail , the east vs west beef/ deathrow vs badboy ... Fans and media outlets were following his every move ...
But your right before deathrow he wasnt a big super star they made him that...

Like i said pac signed to deathrow for a few reasons 1 been so he could have as much back up as jimmy n them did ..... Suge back then was the only nikka who could hold pac down againest them .... See what made suge more dangerous n ive had convos with herons nephew is that suge had almost all the piru fractions from compton on the same page before all the in-fighting happend ... Pac knew he couldnt really fuk with jimmy n them without no real backup.... Would have been real intresting to see what would have happend post - againest all odds had pac survived ...

I've heard all kinda stories about that shooting from the people involved from him not being shot at all to the bullet ricocheting and hitting him in multiple spots. Dexter never said that ive read his book ...
