They make you pay for breathalyzers in vehicles, so not shocking.

This shyt is a business and they’re going to try to get theirs

we're not even arguing if people should pay, it's how much it cost when the service costs pennies to provide. are they handing out brand new trackers to each individual?

lol you pay for everything when on probation. Ankle monitors, the drug test, the visit etc…

nikkas told me straight up one time that they just want the money and I could pay all the fees in advance. Did that and was off probation within a month lol. This was like 3 months into a year of probation I had to do.

Probably state to state
And don't care :yeshrug:
You could always stay in jail. I'd pay $400 for "freedom" while on monitoring vs staying in jail until my sentence is really done every day of the week

I knew what you guys meant

I’m saying I’m not surprised it’s that much monthly. And if you can’t pay up you may lose those privileges or go out in debt.

I’ve seen how it’s a prison complex. From the companies the service for the equipment all the way to the tow companies that they use to tow vehicles.

Whatever hoops they can put you in to jump through, they will do just that.

Thats all it is, a lot of it isn’t even about safety, it’s about money.

Why do people think these dudes have quotas to meet

A prison industrial complex that targets primarily black people and other minorities.
This is something that needs to be addressed on a national level. Politicians seeking office should be asked about this by reporters and in Town Halls.

Stop it bruh the vast majority of people locked up was committing crimes. I don’t see any issue with them having to pay. If they ain’t paying the tax payers are

Do you know what price gouging is?
Are you vaguely familiar with that term?

How is it price gouging?
Being on an ankle monitor is not a service you are buying its part of a punishment you was given.

Ahh. I see.

So you don't know what price gouging is and you think $400 a month for GPS monitoring is completely reasonable.

I didn't know I was better than you.

do you know of a company that sells personal tracking device/services that cost $30 a day to consumers?

if you don't it's because consumers know the real value of such a service is much much lower.

when using the government to coerce that amount from a captive individual, it's price gouging.
