With brown skin and a gelled down afro
I always thought that was Jhene with her voice distorted.
This is still a song that’s on my list of newer timeless classics along with Pryamids but this knowledge takes away from it viscerally for me. It makes it feel more produced than homegrown. It’s still the best song on the newest hip hop classic in my book but there’s a white mark on it for me now.
