That's the thing though. This isn't something he can just pick up a book, research, and get information on. It's something he's supposed to be FEEL and something he's supposed to have had some experience with. It's something that he should have an understanding of. Even if he hasn't personally had encounters with law enforcement, his relatives more than likely have. Even funnier is that I think they incorporated the current racial tension into the show that he stars in. So yeah, he's playing dumb on this one for whatever reason. It's definitely not excusable, but its kind of expected.
