I use to live down the street from his FD home. Rochester is really rough and depressing. Met some of my closet friends there but most of them knew to get up and move out or around. A lot of the Black Americans friends I have, have roots in NC. A good 10% relocated there after collegeYeah I used to reside Upstate and know Rochester well. One of the poorest and most depressing Black communities I knew of. At least in some cities you have a Black middle class in the burbs. Not really in the Roc. It used to be a big Xerox and Kodak (and their suppliers) town and now has probably one of the highest Black male unemployment rates in the country. Sad because Frederick Douglass is buried there.
