I use to live down the street from his FD home. Rochester is really rough and depressing. Met some of my closet friends there but most of them knew to get up and move out or around. A lot of the Black Americans friends I have, have roots in NC. A good 10% relocated there after college
People that say that are either indenial or Live in heavily gentrified areas (l.a., n.y.c, the bay area, Seattle etc) so their perception is skewed,
then you have the few that grew up during the crack era and lowkey wanna still maintain bragging rights for lack of a better term.![]()
