There's SOME, very little, but SOME truth to this. Cops do deal with some shyt, aren't really appreciated like they should be AND get paid pennies. Still doesn't give them the right to do the shyt you see in these videos AND if that weren't bad enough, when they get caught doing dirt NOTHING happens. I could almost say, "well at least the bad ones are getting culled from the police heard, but as these last few months have highlighted, that's just not the case.
thats why people need to focus on an actual issue.
I see them protesting...but what do they actually want to happen?

There is no direction.
Have an actual cause to go after...the issue should probably be w/ the grand juries....they need to be going at their local politicians about that. Not random people..and every cop.

The policeman who sprinted towards the scene only seen this "struggle" and started swinging furiously. 3 People start holding you down, you going to be asking why this is so excessive as well. The boy doesn't seem to fight back, but the crowd egging them on, etc seems to play into the power hungry officers ego trips.

People getting pulled over and harassed for no reason

That's called a 'Random Stop'. Officers are allowed to do that. If all your paperwork is in order, you have no problems and are on your way in 5-10 minutes.

'Jaywalking' is a crime and the leading cause of pedestrian/vehicle deaths in urban areas.

stopped and frisked for nothing... come on. :aicmon:

That was ruled unconstitutional and wouldn't be enacted if there weren't a bunch of people running around doing dumb shyt that looked like me and you.

Your anger is directed at the wrong people.

Uh pretty sure that's not true, at least not in my state. Probable cause. This isn't Nazi Germany.

A few months ago they were randomly stopping cars in a white neighborhood I was driving past.
You were fine if your papers were straight...and the folks that were on some bullshyt had to sit and talk to the cops.

odds are the little darlings did something awful, not that they deserve physical beatings. I'd like to hear what they're charged with.

'Probable cause' is established by accessing the DMV information from your license plates......randomly.

Nothing 'happened'. Everything I post is 'reasonable'. What I find 'unreasonable' is the posts against the police for doing their jobs.

Social media has a way of making people think/do things that they otherwise wouldn't do. I see a trend and I hope it doesn't continue.

You won't 'suffer' if you didn't do anything. A slight inconvenience isn't 'suffering' by a long shot.

kid was resisting but that cop needs his ass beat. it's not like he ran over and tried to do something effective to help the other officers. i would hate to think if it was a different place with less people standing by what would of happened

After hearing oral arguments in both appeals, the Appellate Division consolidated the two cases and, in a per curiam opinion, affirmed the denials of both motions.   The panel held that “ ‘because vehicle license plates are openly displayed and the records [accessed by the MDT] are public,’ ” (quoting State v. Parks, 288 N.J.Super. 407, 410, 672 A.2d 742 (App.Div.1996)), there was no unconstitutional intrusion on defendants' privacy.   The panel further ruled that the stops were valid and did not constitute  unreasonable seizures because the officers reasonably believed there was a “general match” between the appearance of the drivers and the MDT's descriptions of Donis and Gordon.   See Parks, supra, 288 N.J.Super. at 412, 672 A.2d 742.

did you actually read the case or just decide to use it to highlight your point. License plates are openly displayed, in both those cases the officers were able to make reasonable assumptions based on the information they retrieved from the DMV regarding the drivers and thus had reasonable cause.

Be like wearing a name tag but getting upset when someone says your name.

Now stop and frisk on the other hand...not constitutional.

2 different things.

Both since the operative word was 'random' and that case was what made it legal.

Example: Cop sees vehicle is registered to a female, but a male is driving. Cop can pull the vehicle over.

State law enforcement :ahh:
How could anyone ever be so asinine as to entertain the idea of taking control away from the state

If he didn't do anything, he had no reason to struggle with them. If he had cuffs on him, then he obviously started something he couldn't finish. I got arrested/detained when I was that young and all they did was put me in the back of the police car. No cuffs. Walked outta the department a couple hours later with no record and not charged with anything. They even gave me cab fare home and apologized for detaining me.

Kids need to be educated on how to deal with police. Reacting violently against them gets us nowhere but in jail/prison or dead.

I don't remotely agree with you on "if he didn't do anything, he had no reason to struggle with them." That's a dangerous way of looking at things and pretty much writes a blank check for people in positions of authority to do whatever they want, whenever they want, and to whomever they want and the whomever will largely be minorities. It will all be justified by people who'll say things like, "if he didn't do anything, he had no reason to struggle with them." I've had task gripping me by the throat yelling to open my mouth and lift my tongue and I was nothing but a kid back then. Pulled over for no reason other than I didn't put on my turn signal after coming out of the dead end street that I lived on. That turned into numerous squad cars and questions about whether I had anything in the car. Completely fukkin unnecessary. The funny thing in hindsight, I often wonder whether or not I did have my turn signal on when pulling out. Those incidents in my life are minor compared to other people's experiences with the police, especially the sh!t that's been on the news as of late. It's disturbing and unsettling.

However, I will say that I completely agree with you on kids needing to be educated on how to deal with police. Not just kids, adults too, primarily minorities. Situations with police are unnecessarily spiraling out of control and ending up tragic.
