the average person has good experiences w/ police.
All these videos of cops you see where people complain is the police dealing w/ folks doing something wrong.

If you really want to avoid the police, mind your business and dont do dumb shyt.
and if you get caught, accept the L and fight it out in court.

like most of these big media issue...both sides bring their biases to the table.
On a site like this people like to forget what its like dealing w/ cats in the hood....it aint easy.
So imagine you having to deal w/ murders, rapist, drunk people, petty crime etc.... day in and day out...and whenever you deal w/ someone a random person pulls their phone out and says youre doing too much.

The fukk do you want them to do?

If you mean average as in white you are correct. people of color? wrong.

I don't remotely agree with you on "if he didn't do anything, he had no reason to struggle with them." That's a dangerous way of looking at things and pretty much writes a blank check for people in positions of authority to do whatever they want, whenever they want, and to whomever they want and the whomever will largely be minorities. It will all be justified by people who'll say things like, "if he didn't do anything, he had no reason to struggle with them." I've had task gripping me by the throat yelling to open my mouth and lift my tongue and I was nothing but a kid back then. Pulled over for no reason other than I didn't put on my turn signal after coming out of the dead end street that I lived on. That turned into numerous squad cars and questions about whether I had anything in the car. Completely fukkin unnecessary. The funny thing in hindsight, I often wonder whether or not I did have my turn signal on when pulling out. Those incidents in my life are minor compared to other people's experiences with the police, especially the sh!t that's been on the news as of late. It's disturbing and unsettling.

However, I will say that I completely agree with you on kids needing to be educated on how to deal with police. Not just kids, adults too, primarily minorities. Situations with police are unnecessarily spiraling out of control and ending up tragic.

I've also been stopped, questioned, searched, etc. I knew I didn't do anything wrong and didn't antagonize the officers or anything of that nature since I KNOW they were looking to try to get me on anything they could.

Whether or not you think it is necessary is immaterial at that time. You take it to court. Sure, it's inconvenient, but I've gotten out of so many tickets just by cooperating that it just makes more sense financially and emotionally. Even had my car towed, but got it back and THEY had to pay for the impound as well as lost earnings.

My freedom is too valuable to throw away just because I don't like police asking me questions I can answer and be on my way.

I'm 'Black' and my experiences with them have been generally positive even if I was in the wrong.

Then again, I don't encounter them with a chip on my shoulder expecting to get into a fight with them.

They have a job to do, I make it easy so they can be about their business and leave me the FUKK alone.

this...is what people have a hard time understanding.

Once again...in real life, I dont know anybody that gets hassled by the cops that know how to deal w/ them.

but ive seen dumb people of all races get into stupid situations involving police because they have a attitude.

If the kid actually respected the cops, he wouldn't have been struggling in the first place. I blame the media for that just as much as I blame the media for the negative portrayal of 'Black' kids that leads to incidents like this.

No, you don't have to give respect to get it. That's a fantasy.

The vast majority of cops FULLY realize what force is necessary. That one cop coming outta nowhere was in the wrong, the three restraining the kid were not.

So you're walking down the street have done absolutely nothing wrong. A cop hops out and throws you in cuffs. You gonna just respectful take the verbal and physical abuse with no resistance and apologize to the officer for existing on the sidewalk at that moment?

Yes people, videos, evidence, real life accounts, history are all lying. Coli poster dufunkdoc has all the real truth

Didn't say all that, but your 'scenario' was stupid and your argument is based on outliers, not 'normal' encounters.
