I'm reading the reddit and I see so many threads that are like Belters are racist, stupid, and ignorant

Prax is one of the good ones

They caused all of their problems themselves

And I'm like, the show literally shows you why they're in their situation

How can you see how ruthless capitalism is in real life and not feel sympathy for people who built everything in space, but own nothing?

Like how do you not actually intellectually consume what you're watching

I know Black people get treated the same IRL

But usually when watching media, like Avatar, ppl "get it"

you would think this was common sense. the problem is that there are a lot of foolish, and I mean FOOLISH black people.

all it takes for a white to finesse a black person is a smile.

OP, i don't think any of these TLR fools know what The Expanse is :pachaha:

One of the greatest space shows, second only to Star Trek, and it's a VERY close second :wow:

**don't read any further if you don't want to be spoiled**

But yeah you're right about the Belters. It's why I sympathized with Space Prince at first because he was right. Even though the Inners were playing ball with the Belters because Fred Johnson inserted them into the nuke debacle, they didn't really want to and they were never serious about seeing the Belters as their equal.

It took Marco taking advantage of a dying Mars and building a real fleet for folks to look at the Belters like :ohhh:

And Marco would have won if he could have got over the fact that the face of the galaxy James Holden was smashing his baby moms, but he just couldn't let that go :pachaha:

I ignored the expanse because it was on the Syfy channel foh :heh:

Pour jelly on yourself cause it's one of the best shows ever made. Think Game of Thrones in space. S1 is slow but everything that happens lays the groundwork for the rest of the series. Even the little details matter. :wow:

Syfy even canceled it and Bezos the GOAT picked it up for Prime Video.

They don’t pay attention to the dialogue or lyrics of things

They like the wacky noises, power ups and energy beams.

A lot of shyt is profoundly anti imperialist. You gotta a lot of racist anime fans that don’t understand a lot of anime is anti war and anti imperialist too. But they get distracted. By The exoteric surface level plot

That anime s-cry-Ed on the surface is a corny power up battle anime but if you skip all the wacky power ups, they was literally talking about how colonization works, living between castes, being a colonized subject who has to work twice as hard to be accepted, propaganda, how to turn colonized subjects into c00ns and then c00ns being broken when of no use, fighting against an empire and “winning” but not really winning, how people fighting against empires succumb to basic fight or flight instincts because they’re stuck in battle for so long etc

All forms of media are social commentary, even the Bible. There is a reason why Gundam didn’t do well over here

The Truth
First of all, its reddit…

But honestly, until Space Prince I thought most of them were annoying except for Ashford, Namoi, Miller, and ol’girl.

Ashford scene when he was storming Space Prince’s ship:banderas:

(I never considered Fred a true Belta)

But idk why they would even be racist, most the belters were white
